what is everyone doing this weekend?
:laundy: (LOTS); :drive: (CHORES); :headache: (yelling at Tyler to
study for FINALS); :surfweb: (TALKING to my DISer friends);
:stir: (BAKING - got the BEST local strawberries from the Mennonite farmers - gotta do something with them); :happytv: (MAYBE - not likely);
:mickeybar (grocery shopping); :scratchin (I don't know WHAT ELSE will
come up) - AND, this is Bob's weekend to work   :( :headache:

has the time to talk to ME :chat: I'll talk to myself :furious: :furious:

It is NOW 6:30 PM and I'm still :stir: :laundy: :drive: :surfweb:

It would be REALLY NICE if some of you came on board and kept me
company tonight. :dance3: :furious: :wave2: :furious: :woohoo: :furious:

We're staying in tonight. We went to a Tides game last night. Owen had a T-Ball game this morning, then Ted took him to a human body exhibit in Norfolk while I went shopping with Amy. We all met up at 1:30pm for "Disney Live! Mickey's Magic Show" at Chrysler Hall. The kids loved it and it gave us a quick Disney fix. We went to California Pizza Kitchen for a late lunch/early dinner. We're going to Busch Gardens tomorrow. The kids have 3 more days of school. We leave for Hilton Head next Sunday. I can't wait! This will be another very busy week but next week will be sun and sand! I just picked out a new digital camera which will be my combined Mother's Day/20th anniverary gift from Ted. Our anniversay is June 28th. I'm getting the Sony Cybershot T30. It only weighs 6.9 oz with the battery and media card installed. I also ordered a 2GB high speed memory stick. It'll probably take me a month to figure out how to use it but I hope to have it in time for our trip next week. It's so cute!

Lucy, I'm jealous of your strawberries! I went strawberry picking with the kids 2 weeks ago and we picked the most delicious berries at the peak of the season. We're past the peak of the season now. I bought strawberries at the grocery store the other day and they were tasteless! I was so disappointed. I've been eating alot of fresh berries lately...blueberries, blackberries and raspberries with non-fat vanilla yogurt. It's so good but the berries are costing me a small fortune.

What's with all the whinning.... :confused3 ...11/2 week for this ....3 days for that ... be glad you got jobs  Seems to me We had to listen to a lot of complaining in the past about one :wizard: who couldn't find "THE"
job....now it's to HOT :sad2: to humidt :sad2: ....enough already....count your blessing :Pinkbounc ....crack another Merlot.... :rotfl:

Jenny... We'll think of you at 3:30 as we wander through out the house :woohoo: Alice and I are like passing ships in the nite  It's become a routine .... :rotfl: then fall asleep at 8pm :bitelip: Goofy...!!

I like the new stuff too.... off to play cards.... :goodvibes :moped: have a nice weekend..

No whining here we've had our first nice day this summer, been working in the garden all day !!!!Where's the gardening smilie then?

:flower3: :shamrock: :flower: :rose: :daisy: :flower1:
Thank goodness you are FINALLY having sunshine....great day here...
in fact, a little cool for me.

:dance3: I don't know what this one means but I love it too! :dance3:
(it totally reminds me of our wine tasting afternoon - don't know why)

HEY, almost time for Bob to come home :woohoo: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:

I got Mark to the mall today. :rolleyes1 He needed pants for work SO BAD!! Then, we went to Cheeseburger in Paradise for what else???? Margaritas!!

The kids and I just got back from buying Mark's Father's Day gift. We went ahead and gave it to him so he could "play" with it tonight and tomorrow. I got him a Delphi MyFi. It is a portable satellite radio. He can take it to Reds games and listen, in the car, in the house or his office. He listens to AM talk radio out of Cincy at work and it is pretty staticy, so he is really excited! :thumbsup2 I also glad because he won't monopolize my laptop anymore. He actually has my laptop rigged to the stereo and broadcasts the Reds over my laptop!!!! I have the speakers attached right now as he is listening to the game!!! :rotfl2:

I am going to start painting Monday. I have so much to do!!

Jenny's in summer mode, so she's painting................... , I wish!

My dad is referring to me 9 years ago when I was seeking a public school job, I got it, however, NOONE TOLD ME THERE WERE STILL SCHOOLS IN MY AREA WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING!! :furious: All I can say is that last week went really fast due to the heat stroke (I can't remember anything.) Needless to say, it's freezing around here right now!!!

Glad you had good weather today, Lynn, I haven't planted anything this year, maybe my dad will come up and help me??? :dance3:

Hey, Luce, loved all your messages and similies!! So funny! :thumbsup2

BTW, I'm buying Ken a "candle" for Father's Day! popcorn::

Have a nice trip, Kath, be sure to post those pics with your new camera! :beach:

JoAnn ~ We didn't have air conditioning at work until 1994. It was the spring AFTER John was born. When I was pregnant with him in Fall 1993 (born Dec. 1993) my room was on the 2nd floor! It was in the 100-103 degree range for a few days in that room. They would dismiss the kids around 1 p.m., but we had to stay. I was so miserable. I would be teaching and sweat running down my back! :sad2: After they put the air in, there was too much humidity and the building broke out in MOLD!! We had to delay the start of school in Fall 1994 so cleaning companies could come in and clean. Finally they got it straightened out, but we all suffered until we got our new building three years ago. Many were able to give up allergy meds after moving. Our new school is a dream come true! (and I freeze to death!!)

What Lucy? Not out of bed yet? :confused3 :surfweb:

JT/BB ~ glad to hear from you! :dancer: You and the Mrs. need some Melatonin. It's an herb......I sleep like a baby with it!

Kathy ~ practice with that camera. You could take some good "black male" pictures next month at WDW!! :3dglasses Glad you stopped in!

Where's Debi???? I miss you girl!

Lynn ~ sorry you have to return to work tomorrow... I will sympathize with you, but come Aug. 14th I'll need some too!!! :grouphug: It will go fast 'cause you got us to look forward to when you log on!!! :woohoo:

of course I am..... :cheer2:
sorry for not responding immediately but i get in a 'news mode' on a Sunday morning :happytv: (of which NOTHING is funny in today's world)..... :sad2:

I was also awakened at 5:15 AM when the 'older' son walked in...and then had to be at work by 9:00 - oh, well, he's there....not my problem if he's tired. Boys are dumb! :furious:

Going to baccalaureate....i have no idea how to spell that, sorry.... :teacher:
today at 1:00 - alot of kids i know are graduating....can't go to commencement - not enough tickets - that's ok with me... :dance3:
yuck...i just thought about it...gotta do makeup on a weekend! :scared1:

Tyler has FOUR half-days this week - monday and tuesday are final exam days, wednesday is a play day, and thursday is a makeup for snow day...which will also be a play day. After tomorrow night, we are stress-free for 3 months! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Debi - we miss you girl. :sad1: :worried: :(

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Mark has his new satellite radio hooked up!!! I have my computer back now! No more "wiring" my laptop to the stereo!!!!

Another cool day here in Pennsylvania! I hope it lasts all of next week! Nice relaxing weekend around here, not much going on (except for arguing with my two older daughters.) You think YOU HAVE :guilty: PROBLEMS......Lucy........try dealing with your daughters and their "stupid" boyfriends....... :confused3 I don't know what's worse the daughters or their boyfriend, one in particular, I presently like the other one....... .......I think I mainly don't like my daughters, I'm starting to try to figure out how I'm going to avoid them all summer! :sunny: Remember me, the one who went into mourning when the second one went to college.....that's over! :smooth:

Jenny, when I was pregnant with Tara, I was a substitute 21 years ago in a different school district. I think THEY all had air-conditioned buildings back then! :sad2:

I wonder what happened to the Bolusi family?? Remember when they would share little tidbits about their life with us? They have a daughter who would check in and say "Hi" sometimes, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

Well, I'm going to attempt to go see "The Break-Up." I have to get out of this house! :moped:

Mark wants to see The Breakup too! He tried to get my mom to watch the kids yesterday, but she had to work. I think it looks good. He has a thing for Jennifer Aniston! ;)

It's beautiful here. 80s and NO humidity! :cool1: I cleaned flower beds and planted some flowers. I didn't get them all planted, but it is starting to look nice. M&M helped and are good workers. :thumbsup2 The cut back all the dafodils and carried trimmings to the woods. Now they are cleaning out an old raised bed to plant tomatos in. It's theirs and they are determined to get it weeded! I am actually sitting on the deck with my laptop. I think we will eat dinner out here since it is so nice! :sunny:

JoAnn ~ I hope you still have the repreve from the heat. It would be awesome if you got this weather for next week! :grouphug:

Bolusi??? I am not sure if I remember anyone by that name! :confused3 A daughter?? There was some girl around here once named Alliegator. Is that her, by any chance??::MinnieMo :lmao:

Well, we like your daughter's.....in spite of the fact they have boyfriends....AHHHHHHHHHHHH be patient..... time has a habit of slipping away before you know it.....I can't wait to see whats coming up.......!!!

I wanna see The Breakup too - I LOVE Jennifer Aniston, and I don't like Brad
Pitt....but that's another story, isn't it! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Bob is presently studying with Tyler for his history final....Bob LOVES history....me? I love staying out of their way..... :rotfl2: :cool1:
I WANT it to be Wednesday....quickly....when finals are OVER!
Tyler is so lazy when it comes to any kind of school work....ANY KIND!
(except phys. ed.!).

Baccalaureate (sp?) was wonderful...I'm glad I went...HOPEFULLY in four years I can go for Tyler.

JoAnn - you surprise me - you totally sound like ME with the kids....you can be so glad you are still young and have patience - I'm old and have NONE....
absolutely NONE when it comes to MY kids....at the university, i have all the patience in the world with them (on GOOD days). :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok, since I can't get Deb's attention, here it goes:

Allie Gator! We miss you so much! Please tell us some adventures....we oldies have very dull lives compared to you! (when new smilies on the boards get us excited, things are dull!) :dance3: :grouphug: :love2: ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

well here goes nothing. Off to paint the "bachelor pad". I have it all ready. Let's see how many times I get interrupted by M&M!! ;)

JoAnn and Lynn :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

JoAnn you are so close.....time to slide! :teacher:

Lucy........you are on the "Mom" downhill! :Pinkbounc Good luck to Tyler on his finals this week! Kick a&% Tyler!!! After that it's nothing buy :happytv: for the rest of the summer!

...for not writing. It's been one of those weeks, I have been utterly depressed, rain the last 3 days and just lots on my mind. Yesterday, I just wanted to spend the day in bed... It's hard to write when you're just not feeling it. Had to get on this morning to catch up because I KNOW you guys have been talking about me. You do cheer me up!

Nothing much going on in this neck of the woods, everything is still status quo. Nothing with the store, although I got some of my money with a post dated check for Thursday. Deciding what to do and thinking about throwing the towel in and walking away from it all, maybe just get a real job in the city. I talked with Micco last week about wanting to use the house, but he hasn't said anything to me about it yet, so I have just dropped it now, and am just going to forget about it. It's tough at the shop, parking has gotten to be a huge problem, and the kids hanging out in front just gets worse every day. With the summer months upon us, I don't know if I can take much more of it. Neither of these factors draws people to my store, so it's not a good situation. I used to love going to work, now I find myself looking for excuses to take a day off.

We are really looking forward to our trip next month, even though it is only a short 5 day vacation, it will be our only vacation this summer. We get back on Monday, the 31st, and I am planning to take the rest of the week off just to relax.

I love all these new smilies. Spent the afternoon yesterday getting the summer stuff out , putting winter stuff away and :laundy: all afternoon. Micco has been like Suzy Homemaker around here, helping with the :laundy: Love it!!! Briana and I went to the mall for a little while, it was nice to spend some time with her, even though I really wasn't in the mood to shop, we had a nice day.

Jenny - Alex did get the letter from the kids when she was home, sorry she hasn't written back. I know she is working 9 days straight this week, her only day off is Wednesday, and she took a shift for that day too (crazy girl - even if it is a short shift).

Anyway, Lucy - , these are the crazy dancers, :dance3: :dance3: . Kind of reminds you of me and JoAnn, huh... :rotfl2:

Briana has 6 days left of school and then finals and regents start, I told her I better see some books coming home today. She is not a student :confused3 and it drives me crazy.

Well, gotta go get Briana to school, time to leave. Have a good day all.

Debi

Debi!!! I am so glad to hear from you. I know you are having a tough time. Hang in there. Vent on me!!! I'll listen. I cannot imagine the feelings you are having, but you have a terrific husband and great kids. That alone is enough to smile about!! Just follow your heart and you'll be fine.

Alex needn't follow up with the kids. Marshall just owed her a thank you note and Mallory HAD to throw in her two cents! They STILL talk about her!!! Seeing her in the summer will just thrill them to death!!!!! :grouphug:

We are going to have a great time guys next month!!! :woohoo:

pixiedust: :disrocks:

Debi is back
but she is blue - we need to cheer her up!
Come on you funny people - you are ALL a bunch of nuts....show her
some humor :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

I hope it helps to know how much we love 'ya Debs! your entire family, that is....we miss you chatting with us. NO, we can't know what you are going thru, but I know your love for that scrapbooking store and I know something will turn around for you, even if it IS a new building, which it sounds like it might be. Don't give up, Debs. ALL of us are concerned about you. WHY, I'm ready to march right up there and beat up those kids (they are under 3 years old, aren't they?) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You did make me laugh, though, even though it is NOT funny to you or me - sounds like Tyler and Brianna are two of a kind.....finals? "why should I bring books home?" "why should I bring notes home?" to quote Tyler, "I know the stuff".....totally scary :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The summer plan: CHEER UP Debs! - Debi, even though it is ONLY five days, we are going to make it special, girlfriend.

Debi! :grouphug: Welcome back! I'll write back later, I have to go fight with the girls! :furious:
