hey all! just a quick hello before I head out this morning. I thought I'd keep you posted on how I'm officially a cast member...aka, I officially get in for free now!

Thanks mom for the props on getting on here!! And thanks for everyones hellos!!! Way to make this youngin' feel at home!

We had traditions yesterday which was kind of long and borning but fun at the same time. One of the guys from upstairs that I've been getting close with was in my class so we just made faces at each other the whole time haha (the kid from nebraska mom) Yeah, he actually called my mom to talk to her haa!

We went to the Magic Kingdom last night just to watch the fireworks, which was a ton of fun and than went to Pleasure Island for several hours.

Today me and two of my friends are heading to either the Magic Kingdom or MGM, cause everyone else has work and we donnnnnt =)

Kathy, Bob and I are both scheduled for vacation July 21 - August 4
we will plan to be in Disney during some of the time - we are hoping to run into Jenny....don't care if she wants to see us or not!
The end of August just won't work for us - school starts the last week of August, and I can't have off the week before that either.

We MUST get together this summer....WE MUST! SOMEONE, start planning this event, please.

If Alex extends her program through the summer, then we may do a week in Disney during the summer. Right now plans are up in the air, just waiting on the Mouse!

She sounds really happy when I talk to her, almost too happy. Alex, stop being so happy, it's getting me a little worried!!!

Have to work this Sunday, have an all day crop that is filled up. Hooray! Hope to make lots of $$ in sales.

Hey all!!

Just returned from "town". We had a records day with NO KIDS at school. We left at 3:30 and headed straight for the local brewery. My student teacher and two other student teachers along with Mark and a couple of our friends all hit the town. It was so funny listening to the college girls!! We decided to leave the pub and Mark is all gung ho! He asks the girls where we were going next and they all informed him that "we" were taking naps before the EVENING begins!! We laughed and told them if we took naps, we'd be in bed until 9 a.m.!!!! Guess we are getting old!!! The kids went to a lock in at the library and had a blast. Good cheap entertainment for them!!!!

No school Monday!!!!!

We will be at WDW July 23- August 6. Anyone who wants to join the party, we will be at BWV!!!!!!!! We do the pool until late afternoon/night and the parks thereafter! We already have our plane tickets, so we are locked in to those dates. Anyone who comes can be part of the party!!!!

HUMMMM???? Will still be there? I can't remember the dates. What a cool reunion that would be!!! Remember, our friendship began like DL............it all began with a and now we actually know him/her!!!!!!

Debi I know you miss Alex, but what an opportunity!!! And, I am vicariously living through her right now!!!!

I just returned from the 1/7/06 Eastern Magic cruise and wanted to pass on a few things I learned. I will NOT tell you who told me what information because I do not want to get any cast members in trouble. All I will say is the information came from reliable sources, not your average CMs.

1. A new addition is being planned for Castaway Cay. It is going to be "amazing" and "really big". When pressed, the CM said it will be a "family" activity as opposed to just for adults or kids. Th CM was VERY excited about this development -- said it was the biggest thing to come to CC in a long time.

2. NO ONE is saying what the new itinerary will be, however, I was told to expect a longer 10 or 11 day cruise -- not a 7 day one.

Well, at least we are down to only 4 months of waiting to hear something!

PLEASE, guys, start considering some summer plans for the last week in July. Think about it, it would be a one year reunion, because that is when we ALL met last summer

Hey all....just in from my second day of training...It's all very secretive so I'm not allowed to say anything haha. I got picked up in an unmarked van and taken to an undisclosed location

Training is fun and I love being an entertainer...I'm going to have the chance to do parades shortly so thats exciting! And I have some character breakfastes lined up next week! Fun...tomorrow I'll be "entertaining" over in EPCOT...I'm so nervous!

So many rules, but things are so fun! Things are great here, I miss my family...but things are great!

Have fun entertaining in Epcot, Watch out for guests like me. We were in the Garden Grill at Xmas and I was so excited to have my picture taken with Mickey I accidently pushed against the table whilst getting out to pose with him. The table flew across the booth, unfortunately Keith's root beer flew too.... all over Mickey's feet!!!!
Everyone was lovely to me but I felt such an idiot, but the Mouse was charming and all the characters made an extra special fuss of me after that!
I was worried that Pluto would get glass in his paws, but the server cleared it up and Pluto sat with us while it was done.

Lynn' That story just cracks me up!!! One of our student teachers will be in Surrey (sp?) in March-May finishing up her workas a student teacher. Is that by any chance near you? She is really a great gal. She is looking to learn as much as possible about where she is visiting.

Alex I am so glad that you are keeping us up on things (as much as you can)!! As I said before, I am vicariously living through you!! I hope that we will be able to hook up in March. Your mom gave me your cell, so I will forward my info as well closer to time. It sounds like you are having the time of your life! You are very fortunate to have this experience!

JoAnn How's school? My kids will write back soon. We just ended the semester so we had a lot of stuff to finish up. My student teacher is taking over Language Arts this week and loves writing, so she will be handling it! Are your girls back to school??

Debi How did the crop do today? Hope you made a ton of $$!!!!

Lucy is home alone tomorrow....... Maybe we should stalk her! Poor Tyler is being shipped off to school while Lucy sits at home eating bon bons and watching soaps (just like I do all the time!!!)

Hey all! I went to visit Ken's brother and family the last weekend before our college girls go back to school (which they did tonight! ) I'm not as sad as last semester, I'm getting used to it! We were supposed to ski but instead it rained so we went shopping in Woodbury Commons outlets........wow what a great place!

I'm mulling over the late July trip, it would be great to see everyone where it all started........I just have to check my girls' schedules b/c I know Jess has a FH camp one of the weekends late in July and the other two will be working......we are still sailing in late June on RC to Western Caribbean. If Tara goes to Miami Ad School we will have to go down there to check out housing, if there is some way to stop in WDW on that trip, maybe something could work out. I just can't plan anything yet. I know I just rambled but I'm sure something will work out for us! I will really try! BB?

It's so great hearing from !! Thx for sharing Alex, I can't believe you're already starting, it's so cool, have a blast and let us know what you can! Hey DEBs and Micco, hang in there, she sounds great! Anyone hate the weather this weekend?

Jenny, my first student teacher started on Thursday and we had a workshop day on Friday too. I'm so exhausted from my active class this year and the winter is so depressing, how many days until summer ??? We're off tomorrow too. No rush on the letters, we're looking forward to them!

oh, yea, I'm home eating bon-bons: my two boys (Bob and Tyler) can't get ready quietly in the morning and they ask ME why I'm up already!
No, I'm an early riser, no matter what. But, you MAY be right about the soaps! And I promise to make my family a BIG dinner tonight (also my favorite thing to do when I have time). But I did depress myself this morning thinking about not having another day off until Memorial Day!

Debs: we wanna hear about your weekend. I'm sorry to be pushing Alex to stay until the summer, but it looks like that will be my first time back to the world. I would love to fly down this winter, but we have made definite plans to see the Food and Wine Festival and the Mickey's Not So Scary (never have seen either one), 3 times to the world this year MAY need to be enough. We are going down in June, end of July/August and then October.

Lynn - That is the funniest story, I can just picture it. You have me cracking up!

My crop went really well, after a few minor glitches in the morning. First, the weather, 50s and 60s all week, and Sat night we get ice and snow. Great. Then I blew a circuit in the front of the store (where the cash reg, cc terminal, computer, all that stuff is) and we could not find out why it had blown, none of the circuits were popped the other way. So Micco helped me move the CR & CC machine to the back room. Then a little while later, the toilet started to overflow. Luckily, Ryan from the pizza place next door happened to walk in, and he helped me fix that problem. 3 people didn't show up, but I had their deposits. Really did well in sales, it helps pay the rent. All in all it was a good day, I made a little over a $1,000. I took the day off today, Briana and I are heading to the mall to start shopping for that Sweet 16 dress!

We have to refer to Alex as an entertainer from now on, no other references can be made. I guess she is now part of the "Disney Secret Society". Lots of stuff she said she can't even tell us. She sounds like she is having a good time, but tired. Lots to remember, but lots of great opportunities.

Like I said for the summer, if Alex stays, then we will plan a trip to WDW sometime in July/Aug. Everything is up in the air right now, I am not sure when she has to make a decision as to whether to extend the program or not.

Well anyway, enjoy your day off teachers, and everyone else who is off today!

The Tree is almost down and the decorations are half put away. I couldn't deal with it until after the girls went back to school! Fun day off!
