Debi You are getting me so psyched!!! THE TREE!! I had thought about that.......and it would be sooooo cool!! If it works out, I'd really like to see "Ground Zero". However, anywhere you guys take me, I'll love to go!!! I am starting to feel like Ellie Mae Clampett here. You know, the country girl in the "city"!!! I hope I don't embarrass you guys with my midwestern habits!!! I'll try not to be to "obviously" Hoosier!!!

Lucy How's Bob doing? You haven't said much about him and I was wondering if he was feeling better (his leg).

Kathy Glad to hear from you! I wish you could go, however I so understand!! We have to pull off a lot to go without our kids. I was looking forward to having a "date"! I guess you girls will have to share???

Anyway, have some interesting news. Alex told me the other day that the Disney College Program came to her school. I am sure that you guys all know what this is. Well, she has always wanted to "earn her ears" so she is applying for the spring. It runs Jan 11th (I think) till May 13th, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for her. If she gets it, we may plan a long w/e down to Disney in the spring, anyone up for a jaunt??? Well keep your fingers crossed for her, it's something she has wanted to do for a long time. Being a big Disney nut, do you think that will help her in any way, I hope so...

OK, now I don't know how to keep the darn ticker in my posts, what a loser!!!

I'm seriously thinking of going to WDW during Spring Break!!

I've always wanted my kids to try that, I know someone who did it and they loved it! Wish her the best........she should didn't get it with her personality!!

Dad..........what do you think??? The same! We reamed them out for the "recent incident" and now they're groveling. We'll see!

They're home this weekend for the Fall Dance for my youngest.....it's always great to see them!

Mark & I are taking the kids March 11-19 to WDW. I hope we see Alex!!! Her personality will take her farther than anything. She has that true "magical" way about her! Marshall will turn 9 there on March 18th.

We spent the night in the basement playroom last night. There were tornados here starting around 2 a.m. The sirens went off several times, so I finally just put down the sleeping bags and called it a night. Fortunately, we didn't have damage, but the southern part of the state is a disaster. I feel for them. I also worried about my mother who lives in a mobile home. That alone scares me. I HATE STORMS!

Alex in Disney? We also have that program here at KU......I know one of our students real well that has done that program many times......he is going back next semester. Of course, the kids around here who do that Disney college program are Lucy's bestest friends! In fact, he knows one of the girls who plays Belle at MGM and she is home right now - she is coming to our show and stopping in to see me this week - I can't wait to meet her - you know I'll cry!

We are getting down to the last minute with our show - Friday night will be our first public performance, for parents. Afterwards Bob and I are having a party for the people who worked so hard on the show....fun time.

Saturday afternoon I was really bad - this is the first time I've EVER done this....sat for 5 hours and watched a week's worth of a soap opera....it was wonderful....but while I was watching I finally got my summer pictures in an album....I'll bring them along in December....what memories....

Bill - not funny....parenting these teenagers....of course, just like MY mom, you think they are perfect! NOT! It 'ain't' easy!

Mom is fine (sassier than ever!). She was actually a slittle shaken, which is unusual, so it must have been scary for her.

It was a scary night for me too. I was in the basement with the kids and Mark was upstairs snoring, too lazy to come down! Having been through several tornadoes the last 10 years, I don't like them!!! The most recent was three years ago when our school was a month old. One hit, skipped over the building, then touched down again the neighborhood next door. Wiped out 4-5 houses, thankfully with no deaths or injuries. I was officially DONE with storms at that point!!! Mark's boss has a son at the University of Evansville. Thankfully everyone there was o.k. I am so sad for the families in both IN and KY. It is awful! The horse park in Kentucky is where Mark and I went on our first anniversary. So sad there too.

Joann I remember coming home with John from the hospital and crying. I told my mom, "everything comes with a users manual"!!!! NOT! Keep the faith...................

Bill Bye week, then the Colts in Cincinnati! Don't think we have the mental toughness to even stay close with them! I need to save face though. You know I only live 50 miles from Indy, so everyone here is Colts, Colts, Colts!!!!!

During the next few days, we have CR Ed Week, which means that our fine parents will be joining us to observe their children learning..........one student told me that her mother was annoyed because we scheduled an assembly during our usual Science time, so now she can't see us do Science........... I now know why her daughter deals poorly with frustration!

I told my students to think of it as a stage production where they play the role of students and I play the role as teacher......in the back of the room we will have the "audience."

I'm glad your mom is okay, Jenny.

So, how many parents will be in there at a time??? We would be so cramped!! I have parents who will come in and it's amazing how different their child is!! Some positive and some negative. I really don't mind parents to come in... I always tell them "I have nothing to hide"! You're having a tough year? It seems as if I remembered this from a previous post? I had year from h$%# last year, so I would sympathize if necessary!!!!

I'm off sick thought it was a cold and ploughed on last week got steadily weaker and more pathetic stayed in bed at weekend thought that would sort it but no... went to doc today he says I still have v high temp, flu symptoms, viral throat infection, sinsitus and thrush infection. He gave me a bit of everything on the chemist shelf!!! I now know why I feel so bad He signed me off work for the next week, never had so much sick time in one hit, I feel at least 80 get up to make a drink and have to rest for next 3 hours!! He says 10 days for it to run it's course It started last Wednesday so I'm hoping I'll be better by the weekend.

Signed a Brit feeling sorry for herself!!
