We just returned from the 10/2 Wonder, and Marty, the on-board cruise sales rep said he was hearing that the 2007 schedule would be released on October 19th.

Well even though the weather was depressing this weekend, my J-E-T-S did finally pull out a win over TB. Vinny is back, who knows, maybe the season can be saved? But as for those damn Yankees, oh well....

I checked into the tix for Wicked for the first weekend in Dec. They are all sold out, the whole weekend, only premium seats available at $360 a piece. Unfortunately, that is not in our budget at this time. I am still up for getting together that weekend, maybe we could just be city "tourists" and bum around the city, it is pretty that time of year. LMK what you guys want to do!

Lucy - Don't worry about us on the subways, we usually don't ride them unless we have to. Now they found out that whole thing was a hoax and of course, the mayor is getting flak for it. I would rather err on the side of caution, don't you think?? Especially after 9/11. Also, I am seriously thinking about coming out to see the show on the 19th. It would probably just be me, as Micco will be hunting that weekend. What time is the show that day?

Jenny - How was your trip to Jacksonville? We were looking for you on tv!

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone. Can't wait to hear the announcement about where we're going in 07!

Well......... The trip to Jacksonville was awesome despite the loss (I really thought we were going to make a come back, but we sure played like crap!!!)Saturday we spent all day on the beach. It was spectacular. We had lunch on the deck overlooking the beach at Joe's and I walked a lot up and down the coast. Mark found a bar and watched football in the afternoon while I went and laid out, then in to drink (repeatedly!!) Sunday we just hung out with the most incredible amount of Bengals fans! I bet there were 2-3,000 of us in town.

Monday was a disaster. We, after stand-by for two flights, (we were suppose to be non-stop) and with a long Atlanta layover ended up home 8 HOURS later than we were suppose to! Today I feel like s*%t!!! Anyway, I am ready to go to bed.

As for NYC ~ JoAnn, Debs, Lucy (anyone else?) Because of the air problems yesterday, I might be in luck. I landed a $400 voucher (thank you Delta Airlines!!)!! That means that if I can get the kids covered, I can come out, Mark and John can go to Pittsburgh and it will cost us practically nothing!! (Mark got $400 too!!!). I am all for whatever you guys plan. I would also be willing to split $$ for a room. I have to admit I am quite touristy, so I would love anything that we would do. Shopping is good too since it's so close to Christmas!! Just keep me up on what the deal is. Anyone have a suggestion as to whether I should do JFK or LAG? I might need some advice there. I don't know the "lay of the land" at all, so I am at your mercy guys there!!!! It's been at least 25 years since I have been to NYC, so bear with me!

Bill Thanks for asking about Mallory. The cast is coming off Thursday for x-rays. We will find out then if another one goes on, or if she has another less restrictive option. As for the football tailgate crazys, she fits right in. Don't give her any ideas about what to drink. She's the one I worry about!! She's WAY too much like her mother.

All Please help me.... I need a prayer request. As we were stuck in Atlanta, Mark's mother called to tell us that Mark's sister, Kathy (age 25) was diagnosed with Hodgkins (sp?). There will be another CAT scan and biopsy tomorrow, and we will know more later in the week. It has been an absolute blow to us. I knew she was going to the doctor for what she thought was a pulled muscle, but never anticipated that call. But, please keep her in your thoughts. She's a good kid who has spent her whole life caring for Mark's mother who has been sick for about 11 years. Kathy is such a blessing for Mark and his brother. She came late in life and everyone has always felt that she was put here for just that reason, to care for Julie (Mark's mom). Now, I really worry about Julie as well.

Kathy Thanks for the pictures. What a beautiful sight! I saw the Carnival boat in Jacksonville over the weekend. Funny, I just didn't get really excited. It just didn't "do it" for me like the Magic!!!!

Our thoughts are with your family.....I just don't know what else to say
except your friends are thinking about you and Mark and your sister and your mom.

The weekend: OMG - yes - who cares about a show - i wouldn't care if we could just sit in a room and talk and talk and talk.......Bob has off tomorrow so I'll have him check prices for hotel suites, ok? We stayed at the Doubletree last January and it was beautiful but I believe Christmastime would be a little more expensive - hold on, we'll find something........
this is too good to be true, being able to see some of our friends again.

I'm so confused by all these rumors when the itineraries will be coming out for 2007, some say this month, others say nov. or dec........

MAN, your trip home sounds like our trip home this past August......at least you got an airline ticket out of them - good for you.

Doesn't that big screen on deck sound exciting (i read some of the posts from dry dock) - "wonder" what other changes have been made.

We have decided to cancel our 7-day Magic next August - even though we got a wonderful deal - we want to put our money into the 2007 cruise....
more important to us is being with you guys than going alone in 2006.

The Magic was on the Channel 10 News at noon today. They showed the new HUGE screen while it was in use. It looks incredible. I can't wait to see it in person. I wonder how it will be utilized.

We leave for WDW on Satuday am...early! I haven't even started to pack yet. I've got to get busy. I just returned from the cat house...aka Owen's piano lessons...so I need to take a shower.

Mark & Jenny - Thoughts and prayers and with you and your family, we hope all goes well for Kathy. Anyway, if you are planning the NYC weekend, the easiest is coming into Newark. We are about 20 minutes from the airport and I could come pick you up.

OK guys, the first weekend in December is yours, whatever you want to do. But I am hoping I can save you some $$$ on hotel; we have a 1 bedroom apartment in our house (not rented) that has a double bed and a queen size pull out couch. We also have the girls rooms that have double beds (they could sleep in the living room). I can accomodate up to 4 couples that way, we would love to have you stay at the house if you all feel comfortable with it. Micco and I have no problem, we love company. That way we could just hang and shoot the breeze after our jaunts into the city. Up to all of you. As you know, we are easy.

I am getting excited, this might actually happen! We would love to see you, and we will have a blast whatever we decide to do.

Just let me know if this is going to be a definite, I will need to take Saturday off from work.

Lucy - Could you send me the list again with everyone's phone # and addresses, I seem to have misplaced it and I feel like talking with you guys on the phone and want to call. Also, let me know about the show on the 19th, I am still interested in coming if there are tix left.

So sorry, Jenny, I hope things look better soon for your SIL....that's so scary.....we're praying for her! I'm really looking forward to the Dec. weekend.. I LOVE NYC pre-Christmas......Jenny, I usually fly into Newark but maybe Debi has a better idea.

It appears I am in (just me!). Mark and John are probably heading out to Pittsburgh for the Bengals/Steelers game. John has always wanted to go there and it is three days after his birthday! My mom has to request off today, then Mark has to make the flight arrangements to Newark (I am using some of his points), but hopefully there won't be any "hitches". I am so excited I can't stand it!


Debi dear and Micco sweetie I wouldn't mind staying with you if it's o.k. I think that would make Mark feel better (like I didn't do stuff like this preMark!). I am so excited I can't stand it!

Bill (a.k.a. "old coot") Or at least that's what your DD has said! Dude, you look great (and not to mention your "talent"!)! I wish you many more years of J.T. moves!!!!!! I need to get those pix developed!


Update: Mallory has her cast off! She doesn't like moving her arm, but her mother has resigned from dressing her, giving her baths, helping her with the potty, etc., so "school of hard knocks has kicked in"!!!! She is not too happy with me, but she'll live!!!

Mark's sister, Kathy, is still waiting the biopsy, however the latest CAT scan shows no cancer below the chest area. They feel quite positive it's the Hodgkins. From what we have learned this week from our local docs is that it is a very curable form of cancer. Mark's family lives six hours away from us, so we feel very sad that we can't be there to help out, but it appears that they are holding it together pretty well. Keep those prayers coming.........

Lucy This is Bob's big performance time, isn't it?? Hopefully all will go well. I bet it will be a fabulous show!!!!!

Anyone heard from Lynn?? I was laughing the other day, looking through pictures. I remember being with Lynn and Keith at the Sr. Frog's store when the "infamous frog shirt" was being bought. Little do you all know, but Lynn (and a little prodding from me) strongly encouraged Keith to try it on and consequently purchased it! He was so funny as he wasn't going to try it on, but obviously it was a a hit!!!!

I'm almost packed for our trip. We have to be out of the house by 5:30am. Our flight departs at 7:15am. If we're on time, we'll be at MCO by 9:00am and at the Beach Club Villas by 10:30am. The weather forcast for Orlando looks great...sun, sun and more sun.

Ted is on call the first weekend in December so if I can arrange for childcare I'll be solo. Jenny can I be your date?

Did someone say blizzard???? Don't go there!! I hate winter, but NYC will be beautiful with all the lights of the holiday season!!
