Finally feeling a little better
Ok Lucy
We got to the port at 12:30pm and check in was a breeze, had a phot with Micky and then went through a door where we were given a number. We sat down to wait and wait and wait and the line never seemed to get any shorter , we didn't hear any numbers being called so we thought maybe we'd just go and line up but a very strict lady checked our number and sent us away. Then a whole lot of new people joined the line!!! I don't mind waiting when the system is fair but I couldn't understand this so I enquired , it seemed that these people had come on Disney busses and therefore didn't have to have a number they just joined the line straight away, of course what this meant was instead of evryone waiting a similar amount of time those who had got to the port themselves had to wait even longer than ever as bus loads of new arrival kept joining the line. I can't see how that is fair surely we've all paid Disney for the privillege os sailing on the ship, I don't think I should be at a disadvantage just because I got to the port myself. I tried to stay calm and told myself that we'd all be on board soon and I had 15 days to enjoy , I was on vacation , just chill, it worked somewhat but in the end I spoke to a CM and he agreed it was unfair and told us to join the line, by this time it was 1:40pm, the queue continued to move slowly until we eventually boarded at around 2pm. We dropped our luggage in the stateroom and headed for Parrots Cay. They seated us eventually and then while we were eating, said they were clearing the buffet as it was 2:30pm so if we wanted more food to go up. I said I just wanted dessert and the server said oh that's ok we keep that out for longer. 2 minutes later the entire buffet was cleared away, not the best start. When we got back top the roomwe spent some time looking through the navigators and the weekly plans to see what was on offer then we had the drill.
When we returned from the drill our luggage was there and so while Keith wanted to go straight up I said I'd rather unpack a bit he fell asleep and I lost track of time so the next thing we know the whistles blowing and we're underway. It's the first time I've missed a sailaway, keith was pouting but secretly I was pleased to be unpacked. We went up to deck 10 and met Debi and Co we took some pics of the tall ships and people waving goodbye to the magic then to cheer Keith up we grabbed some cups and filled them with the cold gloopy stuff that he and Lucy are so fond of. We took it down to the cove pool which was deserted I dangled my feet in the water as they were on fire from all the walking we'd done in the parks and Keith ate his ice cream finally we relaxed , we were home chilling on our favourite ship.
Dinner that night was 8pm in PC, our servers were nice but a little quiet and difficult to understand , but we all hoped they would warm up a bit. It was fun talking to Debi and Micco and the girls. Later we all went to Rockin Bar D, not many people there it was the ice breaker games we had great fun bursting ballons and threading string down our shirts!!!! befoe we went back to our stateroom for the first night of many.
Our Room was 6038 and it took me al cruise to find it! We've never been on the port side before. It was an excellent location deck 6 between the forward and mid ship elevator so we could use either, very little traffic.
More tomorrow, if thsi is too much detail let me know.
