Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

Hi I'm back
Had a great time with the children, I'm glad Tara is home safe and sound. I now have a load of paperwork and washing to catch up on.
Keith and I are going to Gloucester next weekend. We're on a river cruise in a Mississippi paddle steamer!

On Thursday we have tickets to the premiere of Prince Caspian at the o2 I'm mega excited although it's billed as the largest premiere ever so we probably will be so far from the screen we'll have to watch it again! Hopeful;ly it will be shown on board during our PC crossing.

Hope the grad party goes well< when do you finish school? 5 and a half weeks for me it can't come too soon this year, 28 more working days!!!

We're home.......Lucy, Bob and Tyler will be home tomorrow. We had a great time despite my Reds losing 2 of 3. Tyler had a great time watching his Red Sox beat us up!

That's right, you had one of those "away" trips with your school. We still have two more days. Jess's grad is today but the forecast is predicting bad rainstorms so it may be postponed until tomorrow. My last day is tomorrow also.

What's Prince Caspian? I haven't heard of that one? How many more days until your trip, Lynn??

At least someone was happy....(Tyler).......I hope you guys had fun, I'm sure you did we need to hear highlights of the trip!

TrayTray called Saturday and Sunday, she is having a blast in Italy. She went to La Spezia (Cinque Terre, Lynn!) for the weekend. It is five towns built into rock, very picturesque on the coast. She says it's going too fast so she must be having fun!

IT IS SO GREAT TO HAVE Tara and Jeremy home. We've been spending a lot of time with them. After the party yesterday, we had a lengthy volleyball game with Jess's BF, Tara, Jer, Pops, Ken, my two nephews and my bro and SIL. It was really fun to hang out and crack each other up!

The best news............MY HOUSE IS CLEAN!! Okay off to school... (in the heat again)

Well I must admit, THAT would be worse than what I did! My last day was today with the students. Jess's graduation is postponed until tomorrow night even though the bad rainstorm never arrived. YES, it was humid all day today! So the good news is that as long as I finish packing my room tomorrow, I can leave school at 2:45pm tomorrow and head over to Jess's graduation as a faculty member. THEN I WILL BE DONE FOR THE YEAR..........HELLO SUMMER, BABY

Hmmpf......it seems like WE had a fun weekend.......but.......NO details have been divulged (other than the cooties comment)............ what does THAT mean?..........what was fun about it?......I wonder if we'll ever hear???

in fact, I'm scared how much you will hear....I've been "threatened with Jenny's blog being updated after our trip" - seems Tyler and Jenny have SOMETHING cooked up, I am really scared

OK, here we go....We arrived in Cincy around 3:00. Jenny took us to Cheeseburger in Paradise Friday night for dinner (after a horrible thunderstorm)...Mark went to the game. Lucy had ONE Sangria at dinner, and yes, she was 'silly' (like I said, doesn't take much). Jenny enjoyed watching Bob, Lucy, and Tyler dive into the dessert there - chocolate nachos (OMG, to die for!!)....I've GOT to find a Cheeseburger in Paradise in PA...we had fun.
Saturday Jenny and I hit a mall (it WAS Father's day the next day and Lucy ALWAYS waits to buy a gift) - we weren't too happy while shopping because that shopping trip was 'all about THEM' (fathers).....we could have shopped forever. Went to the game Saturday afternoon - it was one of the BEST games I have seen in a LONG time. Later that evening - gotta let that to Jenny to tell you....Lucy got dizzy!

Sunday's game was VERY long and boring (i think Jenny will agree with that also ) - actually left before the end....went to a fun local bar and grill, and left town around 6:30....we decided to head east Sunday night, since Jenny and mark were leaving Sunday night too. Drove 2 hours and stopped overnight. Monday's drive took 7 hours....LONG and tiring, it wasn't like heading OUT to Cincy, we were excited, going home, not so much.

Tyler had a GREAT time picking on Mallory, they fought like brother and sister (her facial expressions to him were priceless! ).

Just for Jenny: we (Phillies) beat the HECK out of the Sox last night...I was so pleased, Tyler wasn't...

Finally, a trip report! Sounds like a really fun trip with great food.

Sorry, I was AT JESS'S GRADUATION! She finally graduated and it was nice. The Rents went home so just Ken's mom Tara, Jer, Jess, Ken and I were there at dinner.

So......now, I have no children in my school district......very weird, we've been going to this school system since 1989 (19 years!) Eventually, they hired me! (That part took until 1997, I tried for like 7 years!) I feel hollow....jkjkjkjk..........

Sorry, I was AT JESS'S GRADUATION! She finally graduated and it was nice. The Rents went home so just Ken's mom Tara, Jer, Jess, Ken and I were there at dinner.

So I have insomnia, I fell asleep hours ago and then I heard.......Jess is sleeping out tonight ........and........Tara is going to the beach with Jeremy tomorrow.......and I was like........Wait, that means I have no children tomorrow on my first day off for summer............so weird.......so now I can't sleep.........too much then too little! Tracy called but she told us she had a migraine tonight........ ........I'd like her to come home now!

I guess I'll be writing posts to myself more frequently now....... I just found this smilie.......what do you think it represents?

I thank Jenny for her commentary to Tyler during Sunday's game - he and I have had some bonding time each night since we are home watching the Phillies and Sox....although I was the loser last night and went to bed....

Finally! I have to do some things to get Jess ready for her Senior Week at the shore next week............it's surreal that the intense end of school is finally over! Check out Tracy and Tara's blog in the meanwhile, Tracy put some great pics of Cinque Terre!

sorry I haven't finished the blog yet. Mark has been monopolizing the computer in the evenings in preparation for a meeting the 30th. I have been trying to get some things done around here now that I feel like it. M&M are in bible school 9-12 each morning, so I have been using my time "wisely"! Don't worry Lucy, it's not "bad"! I do though have a "secret picture" of you!!!

Had my check up yesterday. Going well so far, but I still have some healing to do. I have to go back in four weeks.

Next week is crammed with appointments! Then the boys will be gone the week of July 4th (scout camp and vacation with X)so I have to get everything ready for them to go. The following week is WDW!!!! Mark and Mal will be going to see Mark's parents next weekend, so I get some alone time!!!!!!

Mark grandfather is not good right now......that could change everything
