Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

WELCOME ALICE!! You are now a smilie expert!!:cool1:

It is so funny, I am looking forward to my doctor's appointment tomorrow!:confused3 I haven't left the house since I came home from the hospital, so I basically have been cooped up for a week! :faint: I have NEVER gone that long! Even when I had back surgery I was volunteering at the hospital stuffing envelopes three days later.;) John also has an ortho appointment tomorrow, so it's a "big" day out for me!:hyper: I guess I need to savor it because M&M will be home full time next week.:stir:

So, what's the latest on Jess' next game?:woohoo:

How is Tyler feeling today? Are your allergies better Lucy?

Well I am back--never sure my posts are going to make it........:rolleyes1 Glad JoAnn, Jess & Ken are back home and that they had a great London visit. Jenny I know it is boring to sit still--but sitting still, you must!! :worship: That all has to heal and it will not if you move around too quickly.. Lucy--for someone who is retired, you are always doing something:moped:

Bill and I are enjoying this lovely weather, planting flowers:cloud9: and just in general enjoying life. You will all get there one day and I hope retirement is as good as ours:banana: Bill showed me how to put the faces in my post :lovestruc

All I could think while I was reading this was.......wow, I think my mom learned how to use smilies!!:rotfl2:

Well, thank you for asking.......Jess's next game is Friday night at 5pm at Emmaus High School! Does that sound familiar to anyone?

If you come Lucy, don't worry, we are the lowest seed in the championships so every game will be an upset if we win.

Ms. Jenny, SOME OF US are still in school:sad:
yep, today was hallway monitor, one of my favorite jobs - i get to talk all day long...today was a little more difficult, it was the last day for seniors, they were WILD!:scared1:

Tyler is sleeping (it is 4:15) - he still doesn't feel well, my nose is as red as Rudolph, from blowing my nose all day.

YES, congrats to Jess - I really thought that game would be cancelled...see, if I would have been there, they would have LOST!:rolleyes1

Hey Joannster: at what point do YOU get tired?

Can't you guys see Lucy going toe to toe with some football player in the hall asking him for his hall pass???:lmao:

Get well wishes to Tyler and Lucy too!!

I am worried about you guys! You have to be totally wiped out!:faint:

These weekend trips are killers! Sorry to hear that you and Ty are "under the weather!" Hang in there, Jenny, the more you rest this week, the better you'll do when the kids are home!

I thought I was going to die on Tuesday. The weather was so humid, I barely slept once we got home, I was in a fog all day and then I had to go right to the game (and I couldn't believe the rainy forecast.) Because of Lucy, I emailed the coach and asked him to let me know immediately if the game was cancelled! We drove all the way up there (1.5 hours), had a rain delay and still managed to win the game. We got home at 10pm. All I can say is that today was much better!

I need to stay home and clean my house for a while!!:confused3

I'll be there:banana:
easy to find:woohoo:
you were there before, JoAnn:yay:
we met you there after something before, remember, you found a Starbucks on the way:dance3:
Tyler has an interview at 4:00 for a one-week summer job but, after that, I'll head to Emmaus....on a good day, 20 minute ride.::yes::

anyway - now, you won't believe this - we believe Bob has pink eye:scared1:
tyler is a mess, sore throat, stuffy nose, watery eyes - he fears pink eye - i'm keeping a close watch on him, although he HAD to go to school, he is so upset, he keeps saying "I can't be this sick" - well, working at the school yesterday, i saw alot of kids sick, and, yes, i believe it was passed around on the bus. Bob HAD to go to work this morning, had to open the store, hopefully he will call the doctor - i'm trying to explain to him, he cannot be around people, it is highly contagious (did you ever try to explain something to a man:lmao: :lmao: :furious: :furious: :furious: )

well done (as Lynn would say!)!:lmao: Hope you feel better soon Bob!

He is NOT supposed to be around anyone for 24 hours after antibiotics! :rolleyes1

Can I come out to you, Jenny, for the next 48 hours?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

sure.....but you have to go to the ball park. I am NOT sitting here this weekend!:cool1:

I'm hoping she is sleeping!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Keep in touch with me, Joann, for tomorrow night, if there are any changes....like I said, as soon as Tyler is done with his small interview at 4:00 - I'm heading to Emmaus.

Everyone in this house is afraid of Bob, noone will go near him:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I can't believe this man is determined to go to work tomorrow...I'm trying to talk him out of work, that way he can go to Emmaus with me.:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: (he can sit at the other end of the field and wave to us:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

look what I found for you guys!:cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

Night 14 is the Ballroom under the stars night

I am glad you knew where Emmaus High School was Lucy because I was afraid I was supposed to know!:lmao: But, anyway, everyone have a great time and KICK SOME BUTT JESS!!!!literally

So, someone has to call me and tell me how they do! I'll be at the Reds game. Mark has me a seat so that I do not have to walk the steps.

Had my doctor's appointment today and got my stitches out. We also took John to his orthodontist appointment. I am feeling pretty good! It was so beautiful outside that I ended up sitting out on the porch for about two hours! I took the laptop out and just enjoyed the sunshine and comfortable temperatures.

I'm glad to hear you are on the mend, Jenny...... Have fun at the game (but don't overdo it). I'm so psyched about tomorrow night (but realistic.) Jess will be the bottom seed in every playoff game so I'm hopeful but honestly, I know that she can do it, she really can make a difference if she wants to.....:worship: We will definitely call you tomorrow night, Jenny!

Woo hooo.........thx Lucy!! I'm glad you can come. I'm going to leave my school right at 4pm so I'm going to call you while I'm on the road. I may be alittle late for the game (it should take me about 1.25 hours to get there and it starts at 5pm.) Of course Ken will be there on time (probably an hour early:rotfl: ) You can hang out with him until I get there! Jess's BF will also be there (you can meet him as well!):thumbsup2 Sorry, I haven't be on sooner, it's been quite a week.......I gained 300 lbs. this spring so I tried to work out alittle.:thumbsup2 I'm also in charge of the soccer banquet so I've been coordinating that too! I hope you do make it tomorrow and sorry to hear about the "boys." It's been a tough spring for allergies and all that stuff!

Got to FINALLY see Jess play - the girl is GOOD!:woohoo: :woohoo:
But, people, Jess' boyfriend - HOTTIE! The guy is gorgeous! :cool1: ::yes::

Joannster had ONE CRAZY schedule tonight....quickly drove up here to see Jess play (BAD game:furious: ), then had to quickly drive back again to attend a retirement dinner....she made me tired just watching her!

Oh, yea, great seeing you too, Ken!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank you, Lu, welcome to my world. Normally, I wouldn't do all that but my colleague truly deserved my attendance in her retirement. We worked closely together for 4 years, 5 years ago. ::yes::

Jess's game was stupid and corrupted. Have you ever since such cheating? Whatever, I always say that as long as noone got hurt, we still came out on top. Fortunately, she'll be playing for Drexel in just 6 weeks so she'll forget this "crap" before you know it! :thumbsup2

Thx again for coming. It was great to share our trip to London but more important, you blocked me from several scary soccer moms!:cool1:

I still have to finish planning for her banquet and then, I'll be finished with all this stuff........I can't wait!:furious:

Hopefully, the next time we get together it will not be so stressful!:duck:

So sorry to hear about the soccer game. It's one thing to lose, but to have it "taken away" is so disheartening with kids especially. :furious: Lucy was still fired up mad on Sat. when I talked with her.

JoAnn that must have been a good friend for you to go out of your way like you did!

So, how is Bob's pink eye?? Is Tyler any better? Lucy's allergies any better either?

I ran into a friend of ours that we hadn't seen for a year or so last night. He is and "advance scout" for the Phillies. He travels around and charts all the opponents for them and then reports to the manager. He has worked doing this for 34 years! He told me he lives only 20 minutes from Kutztown! He told me that we should go to Citizen's Bank Park. Funny thing is, he's only been there 4 times and he works for the team!!:lmao:

Off to Marshall's recital. I really want to figure out "You Tube" because I want to put his work on it. He is playing Fur Elise and Weekend in New England today.:cool1:

Working tomorrow at elementary school - their last full day:scared1:

Pink eye much better, I'm wonderful (we all know that:rotfl2:) , Tyler still coughing up a storm.

Phillies vs. Reds this week:woohoo:

I was just asking Bob tonight, what the heck do I do ALL weekend that no laundry was done...have really fallen behind, this retirement is too busy!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Tyler has one more full day, and 3 half days of finals...:yay: :yay:

Well, I've finally caught up with my reading ....:worship: LOOKS TO ME THAT EVERYONE IS ON THE MEND....:) and that's good news....:cool1:

not to good was the loss that Jess had to experience:confused3 losing can develop character, and other strengths, but not if it's because of bad officals, and bad calls:furious: that sucks....!!:scared1:

Whew... we experienced some South Jersey sun today..everyone was "cooked" today...:worried: hopefully not a bad burn...!! It was a Mommom,Poppop and Joanski event...We were entertained with soccer,London,Lucy,Lynn and Keith stories...:worship:

Yoah, how 'bout those Phillies.... I mean to say Homerun 'vill..is doin' it..
and some decent pitchen to.....:hyper: And look whose in town ....!!:thumbsup2 ..Well, hopefully their pitch'en,will be hit able,i'd settle for a split in the series...:duck: how 'bout it Jenny...??
