Hey Houston-Area DISers, how about another meet? -- LOCATION CHANGING!

I have been to the Old Hickory Inn Barbeque on South Braeswood and was not impressed. Black Eyed Pea sounds good to me.

4greatboys: You're quite welcome to come, too!! :D :D THe more, the merrier :D

How about noon for the time? That gives us enough time to eat and visit and still make it to the corn maze (for those of us going) with enough time to do it as well.

How many are we looking at having now?

Rajah: 4
Carl: 2?
MrsAPalm: 2?
TigerBear: 1?
Bumcat: 2?
4greatboys: ??
fklhou: 3?
grog: 1?
WDWFanatic288: 2?
dwbakerjr: ??

Andrea, would you like the honor of finding out if they'll take reservations for a group? :) I suspect we're going to have to just get there and wait, but they might.

I may have to pass (again) :(

I think that is going to be the weekend we go to the Renfest. We have to go in October as my schedule for November is booked solid.

I should know for sure in a day or two.

I'll call B-EP and see what they say about reservations. Are we looking at reservations for 17?
-MrsAPalm

I'd see what they say about a group of "approximately 20". It's probably going to be closer to 15 people.

Bumping this up since it's this weekend.

Everyone still a go?

The Black Eyed Pea? What is the address? What time do we meet there and what time do we go to the Maze?

How many do we have going?

We're meeting at noon. I'll be there about 15 minutes early, on the advice of the nice ladies at the Pea. They will try to accommodate us the best they can, but we need to keep in mind that Sundays at noon are a busy time. But, I was told that they would put me (the party) on the list, if there is need for a list, at a quarter to noon, and arrange tables accordingly.
So, I have it set up with the Pea.... I think we will go to the maze when we're finished eating and sit-down socializing.

Hi. Decided last night that there is no way to make it this time around. Just too much going on this weekend. Hope you all have a great time and I will be there in spirit :D

One thing I like about this group of DISers is that there is probably another meet looming on the horizon that just hasn't been planned yet , so I know I will get to another eventually :)

I'm coming! woo-hoo!

I need to talk to my mom for sure

but it's down the street from me...how can I NOT come?
and I haven't been to Black Eye Pea in YEARS! hehe! :p

just to let you know...I hope the maze is open! b/c it was closed last Sunday and it is closed when it rains alot

I may have a sea scout meeting this saturday. I am one of the leaders of our temple's new Sea Scout crew and need to be there if there is a meeting. I will let you know as soon as the meeting is finalized.

Fklhou - we're meeting on Sunday - will you still be able to make it?
-MrsAPalm

I will check. My DW will be out of town and the kids had religious school (the older two are Teachers Assistants and the youngest is in class until 1:30 PM). My DS may be able to drive everyone home.

I think that we will have to call this off. The weather report shows it to be raining every day, including Sunday. And even if it stopped raining Sunday, isn't it true that they do not open the maze if the ground is wet?

I mean we can still have the meet to eat at the Black Eyed Pea, but the maze is looking quite impossible.

What are your thoughts?
