Chris and I walked in our yard last night - and it's so slushy LOL - We saw flowers that we havn't seen before. There are weeds on top of weeds, and the grass is out of controll. Thank goodness our neighbors landscaper thinks OUR sidewalk belongs to him and cut our grass last week LOL!

Add us to the list of soggy Northeasterners. There is a small lake/pond in our front yard. The grass is being overtaken by moss because of the wet. The deck is tinted green from the mold, and DS sank up to his ankles in mud in the side yard yesterday. It's just saturated. *sigh* I know we need it, and there are lots that need it more than us, so I am really NOT complaining, but....

The rain held up for my daughters race this morning! It was her first race and she did a great job running the mile!
The sun actually came out for a minute but it is pretty chilly for the end of June. After the race, there was an awards area set up on a field. Well, the field was mushy from all the rain! You could feel your shoes actually sinking in!
Im just happy the rain held up and hope it holds up for anyone else in the NJ(actually all northeast) area with plans today!

I just stepped outside for a quick smoke and lo and behold the sun was out and the rain has at least for the moment stopped. . . I felt like Noah!




I was all happy until I had to make my own coffee because Maggie was too busy DISing. . . It was quite a chore and now I'm all worn out and so I'm going back to bed. . .

Still pouring in NY....I drove up in the rain yesterday and now I get to drive backin the rain this afternoon...YIPPEE!!!

actually I was walking out of the supermarket - after getting beat up by mature ladies for cherries at .99 lb - I'm telling you these people were pushing shouting! Geesh, for a friggin cherry! Anyway - when I walked out of the supermarket - the sun was out - and it was still raining!!!! - It stopped for now though!
