Hey Guys, Need some help

Hi, I thought I would try posting over here as well as on the CB. My 14 yr. daughter is running for Student Body President of her Junior High. Have any of you heard of any good campaing slogans or have any ideas.

In 6th grade, I ran for treasurer, but of course lost b/c its a popularity contest and who has the most friends. (that is so stupid though) In 7th grade, I ran for president, but lost to the same girl, b/c she was more popular.

Here were my slogans:
You + a vote for me= the right choice for president
Make the right choice. vote me for president.
Katie H.: President Sound like a winner (it had two CD's on it)

Yes I know they are kind of lame, butoh well. this year, I'm going to run for Secretary for the H.S. You know it is a popularity contest, b/c the secretary this year has spelling mistakes in the minutes. Minutes are the things we go over in meetings, she types up, and then the S.S. representative (that's me) reads them in class. If she can't spell she shouldn't be secretary. oh well. wish me luck on my next campaign some time next month i think.

Thanks for your reply and good luck with your election. Let me give you a couple of ideas. This year my daughter was 8th grade president and her slogan was Tiffany has all the right tools for ______(her junior high). All of her posters had different tools on them, as did her handouts. For her speech she dressed up like a carpenter and played the theme from Home Improvement. Then she pulled different tools out of her tool belt and said what qualifications she had. For example, she could saw out problems, or whatever.

Last year she was 7th grade VP and her slogan was Tiffany is the perfect prescription for _________
Her whole campaign was based on a medical theme and she performed an operation for her speech to create the perfect mascot for the school.

She did a good job both years, but unfortunately her mother is fresh out of original ideas! Thus, the plea for help!

She's lucky. People at my school are dumb. They tried to bribe people to vote for their girlfriend by giving people money. Then some people were just voting b/c the person was their friend. I want the votes, but I'd rather have people vote for me b/c they think I can do a good job in the position. Last year, our president egged cars in the parking lot on the last day of school and then ran from the cops. People just voted for him b/c they thought he was either cute or popular. I didn't vote for him at all. Also, one of my friends kept saying vote for this girl b/c she's my cousin. She ended up getting the position, but she's the girl that either can't spell, or doesn't know what spell-check is. Oh well, maybe I'll make a better speech. Some kids just bring up a drink, spill it over the podem, and then just say "vote for me". Apparently, being stupid works.

I know how that feels Kiki. Out of all the people who "went out" for student government, only the most popular kids won. Same with baseball, only the popular guys made it to the All-Star game, even if the they couldn't hit worth a flap jack. All I do is just shake it off and keep going with my life. I've just had to cope with not trying to fit in.
