I am feeling so low today it's untrue! Scott started his new job on Tuesday and has to spend several nights a week away from home (he's camping out in his mum and dad's spare room as they live in the city we're moving to). I've never lived alone and, before tonight, have only had 1 single night alone in a house in my entire life a few years ago. I am just so freaking out about all this. He was away Tuesday night but I had someone over so tonight is the first night alone :scared1:

Doesn't help that I'm really bored today, my scrapping mojo disappeared a few weeks ago and hasn't been seen since! I know I have work I should be doing (guessing you all do too but if you're like me this place is great as an avoidance tactic) but I have no energy to do it!

How do you guys cope when you're alone?

 Queenie...

Having 3-5 kids at home I never have alone time when DH is away..and the times I do get alone time is so few and far between I don't know what to do with myself...

I'm sorry to hear that your scrapbooking mojo has gone missing. I usually scrapbook when the kids go to bed and DH is gone...
I wish I had a good sure fire way of telling you what to do to pass the time..

It will get better.... lots of hugs till than!!!

I like to rent scappy girl movies that my fiancé whines about whenever he sees me watching them. I am not talking sad ones, but rather ones like The Holiday with Jude Law.

And you can always work on wedding plans. That can keep me busy for hours! ;)

Hey, when is your wedding? We plan on spending a part of our Honeymoon in Disney. It would be funny if us newlyweds run into each other!

Per kids when this happened... honestly I got a huge HUGE hooking dog. Like almost a big as me, but not as big as hubby LOL and lots of hobbies so there was alway ssomething I could do that was not a have to do so to speak.

It gets better I promise. :grouphug:

Alone? I don't think I know what you are referring to? Could you explain this to me? LOL. :rotfl:

I usually read, sleep with the lights on and make sure I've set the alarm.

I had never been alone before either until a few years ago when DH started going on camping weekends with DS with scouts. I now enjoy those few weekends when I'm by myself. It's great not having to worry about anyone else (well, except the cats!) but yourself. You can do whatever you want whenever you want to. But, after a couple of days, I'm ready to have them back.

Generally what I do is watch lots of "chick" flicks, read, scrap, cross stitch, go shopping, etc. Night is hard, but I just leave a light on and usually one of the cats will sleep with me which helps.

Good luck!

Scott's shown me how to set the alarms for night as we never normally have them on (he has this amazing ability to forget, walk into the living room and set them off!)

Our wedding is 20th Sept, only a few days apart from yours I think! Problem is that we've got nothing to do at the moment except order the invitations and we can't do that until the parentals have finalised their geust lists. We're in WDW/on the Disney Wonder from Sept 22nd - Oct 6th, when are you there?

alone time???? never heard of it.....:rotfl2:

seriously. chick flicks (girlie movies), reading trashy romance novels, watching something other than cartoons.

I"m sorry your mojo is gone, it's probably because of all the life changes. DH and I are going through some tough stuff and it has affected my creativeness.

Aren't you supposed to be headed to your sisters soon?

We are getting married the 25th (Thursday if you are doing the math ;) ). It will be our 7 years dating anniversary, so we decided to keep it. We are very early on in the process (despite being less than 6 months out! :rolleyes1 ). We are thinking of heading to the world either before we head to the tropics (so we might run into you) or on our way home, but maybe we will stop both ways and get a little extra time with the mouse. Who needs white sand beaches and tropical drinks and the relaxing sound of the surf. ;)

I'm with everyone else, chick flicks...lots of them...nothing scary or sad...

Not reading (for me) because I hear noises...keep the tv on, or the radio.

And you will enjoy these times in the future, but the first ones are hard...

It will take a little time getting used to him not being home all the time, but think about when he is! :woohoo:

Yup, okay, off to the naughty mat I go...................................:rotfl2:
