Hey Everyone, We're on the Magic!

Hey Barb....love the updates....tell Kendell the Browns and the Serafins from the Easter Cruise said hello and please ask him how Wise is....he was our head server on that cruise and had to be taken off at Turks for an emergency apendectomy.

Is this the trip you are going to stay and look for that dream job in So Fla? Hey.... you start it up and I'll join you....let me know!!!

Thanks for the pre-trip report, live from the Magic. We go on June 7th and I can't wait. I hope you get your full trip report done prior to our cruise so that I can read it.

Quick question, were you able to make your Palo and spa reservations as soon as you boarded? We'll be at the terminal by 10 am, so I was hoping to be one of the first on board and one of the first to make our reservations.

Thanks!
Carolyn

Hi Barb!
Glad you are having such a great trip! Hey, if you get any information regarding the August/September 2004 Eastern Cruise alternative schedule and when it will be available I would be VERY grateful.
Thanks!
DJ

No questions, just want to say thanks for all the info.

:D

Hey B & T! Hope you are having a blast...sounds like you are!

Four questions, one mentioned in a post above...

1. How early could you get into the terminal? Is 10 am a good time to shoot for?

2. Is Palos ressies still in Rockn Bar D or is it back up in Palos?

3. I think I read that ya'll have done stand by for a second night of Palos...how does that work? Do you call during the day and see if there is a cancellation? Do you put your name on a list or something?

4. Did you see Salvatore and Marco in Palos? Have they gone home yet?

Have a good time!!! Thanks for anything you can tell us!

I enjoy reading the live reports and look forward to your trip report when you return! I have a question about the other ships at port, especially at Grand Cayman, how many were in port with the Magic? And if it's not too many to count, how many at Cozumel?

Thanks!:p

Between getting my docs today and hearing your live reports, I can almost feel us being there. Thanks for everything.

I can answer the question about reservations at Palo. We got to the port around 10:15 to 10:30. That was fine. We were in the first row along the wall to board the ship. Maybe 15 families ahead of us. Just guessing. We went straight to rocking bar d (I think) anyway it was not Palo, and got brunch, dinner and tea. All were great. All you have to do is check your navigator, and follow the lines.

Enjoy, and have a chocolate souflee for me.

Please, please tell Sasha he was right about guessing my baby's sex. I found out today I am having a girl. He kept telling me over and over that I am having a girl. I was with my husband, mother and father at table number 68, 2nd sitting last week's cruise. I appreciate it. Let me know what he says! ;)

Hey everyone!
We're back after a long day in Cozumel. It got rainy towards the end of the day, but not enough to keep us from enjoying Chakanaab (I know I didn't spell that right) Park. I did the swim with the sea lions. I hadn't booked it in advance, but amazingly there was still room. It was so much fun! We explored the park and did some beach time, too, then returned to the shopping area to spend some more tourist dollars :D The rain started pouring down as we were shopping, but we were wearing swim wear and Tony always brings a plastic garbage bag to protect our belongings just in case, so nothing got too wet (but us!). As always, Disney saw to the details...they were passing out nice, dry towels to the wet guests embarking from the rain.
I think Sasha is impressed with how famous he is on the internet! He is still bringing lots of desserts to sample and has been taking excellent care of us.
In answer to the previous questions, the Palo and spa ressies are listed in the Nav. as starting at noon, which of course means head there as soon as you board! (Of course, boarding is sometimes a little past noon, so just think of it as starting immediately). I advise getting to the port early for the 7-day because the line definitely gets longer much more quickly than the 3-day. And for a second day, you can get on the waiting list. Brunch and high tea don't count as a second day, so you can book those when you get your dinner ressie.
I don't know if the DIS meet took place in the Walt suite, as I forgot all about it! I think that half the time, I'm in a cruise coma...my mind melts when I get in vacation mode. But Chuck from All Seasons Travel is in the Roy, so he invited us to a reception. Boy, is that suite beautiful! We saw it before on our three-peat, but this is the first time we've spent some time in there.
Tomorrow is a day at sea, so we will be kicking back and relaxing. We have high tea ressies, so I have been waiting anxiously for that all cruise. Then we'll be in the spa, where we have been spending a LOT of time in the Rainforest in addition to our treatments. I just can't believe how quickly this cruise has gone by!

Barb....you post the best trip reports. You make it sound great. I can't wait for our cruise. Thanks for giving us the details and making it seem like we are there (or wishing we were there). :D

Barb, does the Magic have the Magic 2003 pins yet? When we were on the March 29 Mystery Cruise, we were told that they still did not have them in for 2003.

Plutojudy, I'll ask the cruise staff about the pins (you mean the little round ones, right?).
It's our day at sea now, and although the day started out very gray and rainy, the sun is finally peeking through. It was too wet out on the verandah to eat breakfast, and they added a lot of activities due to the weather, but now that's clearing up, the outside activities will be going on as planned, too. I'm actually glad for the rain because they weren't going to do the Disney Dreams matinee, but then they added it. I usually count on going to that performance and schedule other activities for the evening.
We haven't done much yet this morning. We went to the talk with the cast from the Walt Disney Theater. That is one of my favorite events. It was especially fun because we met this cast when they were brand new and just starting their contract, and now this is their last week. Next is the matinee, and High Tea after that (I will be a pig and order both the cinammon AND the chamomile). Then it's spa treatments and dinner, plus a period of mourning because tomorrow is the last day. As much as I love Castaway Cay, it always makes me a little sad because it marks the end. Oh well, at least we'll be back on the Wonder in July, but it's hard to adapt from 7 days back to 3.
I'll try to check in again later!

Oh my Barb, if ordering two flavors of TEA constitutes being a pig then I'm afraid I'll really be in trouble! Hope you enjoyed them both!

Hi Barb, thanks every so much for all of your help to all of us! It's thrilling reading your report live! I'm glad that the sun is coming out for you, though the rain got your Disney Dreams show which is wonderful.
Enjoly your high tea today, and I agree, if having 2 different types of tea is pigging out, boy am I in trouble as well!!
Can't wait to read the rest.
Carolyn

Glad you are having a great time. Your site has been a wonderful source of info for me over the past 3 years and continues to be as we head into our 3rd cruise.

IF possible, could you please pick up the "cost" to book cruises onboard from the DVC desk? I'm especially wanting 2004 Eastern value season adult and kids. Cat. 9,10 and 11. If you don't have time, believe me I'd understand.

I'm also in trouble over the tea thing!

Thanks.

I'm doing a quick check-in before I head off to Michael Harrison's adult show, which will be followed by the 70s Party. We did High Tea, and the teas have all changed! No cinnamon anymore, which was a bummer, but they did have some other excellent varieties. I forgot to get a menu, but I will see if I can get one later. The food items are the same, although I limited myself to scones and sandwiches. But it really annoyed me that the entire High Tea consisted of us and one other couple, plus one person who came later. The tea was fully booked, with a waiting list, but there are many rude people who do not show up and do not call in advance. Of course, by the time of the tea, it's too late to call the people who were waiting because they'd never get there in time. Personally, I think Disney should ding you $20 if you don't show. Those ressies are hard enough to get anyway, without people being so rude about it.
Other than that, the day has been great. We had our treatments...I loved the salt glow wrap (I think that's what it's called), which is very similar to the seaweed wrap. I'll have full details in my trip report, but I loved it. We spent a lot of time in the Rainforest too, since the rain came back with a vengence.
The premiere of "Finding Nemo" is tonight at 12:01 a.m., although I don't know if we'll be staying up to see it. If not, it will be shown three more times tomorrow. Right now, I'm busy sending sunshine vibes to Castaway Cay!

Barb,

Have enjoyed reading your reports.

We have two free passes to see Finding Nemo, we will be seeing it over the weekend. We were in our local Disney Store last weekend and bought three CD's, with this purchase we were give the two free passes, so, we will only have to pay for our DD.

Have a MAGICal day at Castaway Cay on Friday. It seems as though you just left the port, and here your cruise is nearly over already, that week went fast.

Looking forward to reading your complete report on your website soon!!!

Andy
