I don't know if you were able to figure out how to get a ticker, so apologies if I'm repeating...

Once you create your banner (click on mine for a web link) copy the entire BBCode or UBBCode > open a second window > Go to your "User CP" on the disboards (upper left corner) > "edit signature" (top option in the control panel) > and paste into the text block > preview signature to make sure it worked > done.

There is a disboard limit to how much you can put in your footer for ease in screen load time. But there's enough to do a ticker or two.
