Is it just your basic convenience store or do they have an expanded availability since they are near the resort?

I have compared the prices on-line at BWV delivery and Garden Grocer. Garden Grocer is surprising more on lots of things.

I could almost get away without having delivery if I could find stuff for salads.
Any ideas?

It's your basic *gas station* convenience store so I kind of doubt you're going to find salad fixings. I know that the last time I was there, they had no eggs or bacon and I ended up getting those at the Boardwalk. I also know that they had a big renovation a few months back and were evidently closed during that time, so it's possible that they now have more options. But when I went, it was definitely someplace you'd go for a quick coffee, doughnut, maybe some bread and peanut butter for a picnic type meal place. Nothing that would need to be cooked prior to eating. Have you considered the salads at the Boardwalk Bakery? Or looked into what salads are available at the Beach Club marketplace? With the delivery fee of a grocery delivery service for just salad fixings, it might be worth putting up with the premade stuff, if that's the main sticking point.

No lettuce or tomato for sale at the Hess. I was in there twice last week.

I basically just get Borden's chocolate milk and snacks there. I can get it at home so it's a little piece of home at BWV. Besides Disney still puts out Nesquik for chocolate milk but Borden's on regular milk and other dairy. I guess Disney still has somewhat of a contract with Nestle.
