Hertz is amazing

I just wanted to share my experience with the first #1 Club Gold rental. I shelled out the $50 dollars to join, as I often rent 7+ times per year so it really is a good investment. I walked to the Gold Counter where I was greeted by a very kind employee. He processed the quick paperwork and told me the car he had assigned me was a Ford Taurus. That was fine, but I figured it was worth a shot of trying to get upgraded. I used the "lingo" and asked what was on special. After suggesting a Jaguar S-Type, Hummer H2 and Ford Mustang, he came to the Chrysler 300C. I always wanted one, so I figured it was worth the nominal $8 p/d upgrade charge. I walked to my stall to find a LOADED Chrysler 300C with AWD, Sunroof, Leather, Sirius Satalite Radio and 18 inch wheels. Needless to say, I was quite happy I had spent the extra money to get out of the Taurus...That being said, every employee I ran into was very very kind and went out of there way to help me...Hertz rocks!!

We rented $19/day last week in California and ended up with a nice little red sports car due to our status......

In fact, I usually have to insist that they DOWNGRADE me as they do such a consistent job of upgrading Gold and Presidents Circle. I even have a note in my profile to that effect...

This is one time I have to agree with you. Seems the consensus here is National, Alamo, Dollar or anyone "onsite".
Hertz is by far #1, but we'll keep that a secret!
