Hertz at the airport

We are thinking of using Hertz for transportation from the port to the orlando airport. I know that it is off-site. Is there a bus that runs between the airport and the rental area? How far is it?

I always use Hertz at Orlando Airport. There are frequent, large Hertz shuttles from the curb directly in front of the terminal directly to the Hertz facility a mile or so north of the airport.

When we took our Disney Cruise, I returned our Hertz car in Cocoa Beach, where Hertz has an office on Atlantic Avenue. The office is a couple of miles south of the Avis office at the Radisson, but that only added a few minutes. I would gladly use Hertz again when taking a Disney Cruise.

I actually prefer a convenient off-site service such as Hertz because you can walk a LONG ways to on-airport cars. I like to get on the bus which is right outside the door and then be dropped off at my car. The Hertz facility is about a mile north of the airport property on SR-436 (Semoran Blvd). That's the road that goes straight north out of the airport property. It's still very easy to get from there to SR-528... the road to the port, and it's very easy to get back there when you return your car.

Aside to Horace...

...was Hertz still located at the Cape Royal Office Park when you used Hertz? They've since moved to another facility a few miles north, so they're only four miles from the port now instead of seven miles.

He's making those plans because he can use "points". I was glad to hear it's not a hassle to have it off-site at the airport.
