Hershey Park info needed

I am taking my GS troop there in 2 weeks. We are driving from Western Ma. The directions that the Hershey Park website gives take you over the Tappenzee bridge, and I'm sure there is an easier way ! I'll be coming down 91 S and then picking up 84 W in Hartford. I know I need to get on 81 at some point. Any other tips once we arrive at the park? The packet we received mentions a 3-D show that we need reservations for, but I haven't been able to find much info for it.

Reservations for the 3-D show? We didn't need them last year - you can buy tickets in advance though (separate admission and you can do without it) which would sort of be like a reservation.

We did this last year with our GS troop. It was a blast. It sounds like you're not staying there though? If you are, the park will allow you a "twilight preview" for the last 2 or 3 hours before you plan your main trip. This will let you get a feel for the park layout, set meeting places, etc. so that you're ready to rock come Saturday morning. You can also go to Chocolate world (Basically a big gift shop, but it also has the "factory tour" and the free chocolate). It gets very crowded at park closing, so if you're there Friday, that's the day to do that.

If the weather cooperates, be sure to bring bathing suits, as they have a large water park type area. Last year it absolutely poured, and was about 60 degrees, so bathing suits were the last things on our minds!

If anyone decides to go to the dolphin show, they will pick volunteers. If they wave like madmen (or madgirls!) they are likely to get picked. It's very cute (both my kids were picked at different shows).

Thanks Lisa We are heading to Pa. on Friday, 6/4, so we'll have a couple hours for the preview if the kids aren't too wiped from the long drive. We're staying at Meadowlark Campground in tents for the weekend. I am praying for good weather!
