Is it worth it to go(this is the budget related part)? We'd be driving 5+ hours? Does it get very crowded?

TIA:goodvibes

We did this last year and it was ok. It was a little chilly but not very crowded. I don't believe the waterpark was open. Wait times for the rides were minimal (usually walk on maybe a 10 -15 min wait tops). We may do it again this year, the kids really liked it.

It's fun to go to the zoo. They'll put a plastic covering over a flashlight (your own or one you buy) so that the animals eyes aren't hurt and you can see what they do at night. They also had some crafty activities there and trick or treating in the park.

Nice thing is you don't pay to get in, it is the wrist band or tix. My hubby does not do rides and this is great, we don't have to pay the big ticket price.

Also, watch the internet, sometimes they do family packs that include some game coupons etc.

You dont have to pay to get in? I thought they changed it a few years ago that you did have to pay to get in. We use to go but not do the rides and just walk around and shop. :confused3 OP if you have to pay to get in.. no its not worth in IMO... free YEP! Its fun along with candylane or what ever they call their Christmas theme :thumbsup2

Well, maybe they did change it...we didn't go last year...not sure. Look into it, I agree, not worth it if you have to pay.

I just checked you have to pay to get in.. not worth. it is fun.. but too expensive for what you get.

We have been a few times. Usually go on Friday, and spend the night, and go back Saturday. Friday has never been crowded, but Saturday is much worse. We get as many rides in in a few hours on Friday night. I love going when it is not so hot.

I don't think I would drive 5 hours though.

Don't get me wrong, we LOVE HP and we have season passes and can go for free, but I wouldn't drive 5 hours for that, Christmas or Springtime specials. They are nice for locals or if you are in the area for something else but not worth the drive. NOT all the rides are open like some of the big coasters but it is a fun night and candy too.:goodvibes
