Hershey park and Virginia/West Virginia; opinions?

We're going to be out Pennsylvania way and wonder if Hersheypark is worth the day (and $$) for two adults who spend a huge amount of time at Disney/Universal/SeaWorld/Busch/Cedar Point, etc.

No kids on this trip, just the two of us, so we're not sure a day at Hershey is worth the time or if we should spend the day elsewhere. We're doing Gettysburg, Busch Gardnes Williamsburg, then heading up into the mountains for a few days, just tooling around the Virginia/West Virginia area.

Well if you're already doing Busch Gardens, you might want to skip Hershey Park, even though HP is a very nice park. It's not really a theme park though, like BG or WDW. You might want to stop and check out Lancaster, PA.. Amish country. There are some interesting shops, etc. there, rather than do another amusement park.

We were just at Hersheypark on Tuesday and although we always enjoy it, I agree, if you are doing Busch Gardens, you will probably be disappointed with Hershey. We love it because it is close for us to go for a day. Are you coming through Charles Town to see the horse races & gamble a little on the slots? Harpers Ferry is a nice little park to explore if you are in the area.

We live near Hershey and for you Disney or BG fans - you will be disappointed. It is great for a local park and we love it.....but just isn't up to the Disney or BG standards. Now if you want some R&R....try the Hershey Hotel Spa.....AAAAHHHHH - very worth it!
