Of course, I would love to go to WDW next year but I don't know if we can afford it with the new baby, my brother getting married in TX, and a family reunion in Pittsburgh. So, we are looking into the PA trip. We have been to Hershey Park once when I was prego with DD2 and to Sesame Place 3 times!!! We usually go for the week, stay in NJ and go to Phily, the NJ Aquaruim, Please touch museum and a couple of other things. I was wondering if it would be possible to do Hershey Park and Sesame Place the same week. How far apart are they? Can you recommend accomodations if we go to Hershey? We stayed at some roach motel last time. Preferably a place with one bedroom suites. Goodness, to go on vacation not pregnant, what a concept! Better not speak too soon. I'm not having my tubes tied until next Wed. :rotfl:

Hershey and Sesame is doable but Sesame is really quite a ride from hershey.
it would be best if you were doing that to break up the trip stay by Sesame place for a few days and then go to Hershey.

There is also Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom that is a lot of fun

I don't know where you are traveling from but what about Williamsburg VA?

Stay at the Hershey Hotel! They have a spa where you can get wrapped in chocolate!!!!

Are they for little ones as well as big ones? We were thinking about breaking the trip up 1/2 the time in the Sesame area and 1/2 in the Hershey area.

We've been to Dorney park once and my kids loved it. At the time my kids were 3-15 and we all liked it, especially the interactive water area.

We've been to Hershey, too and liked it a lot. We haven't been to Sesame Place in ages--it was so crowded when we went that we never went back (and now my kids are too old).

Isn't it just about a 2 1/2 -3 hour drive between Hershey and Sesame? I've been to both, leaving from my sisters house and I don't think either trip took us more than an hour and a half for either one. I never did Dorney Park, but I've heard a lot of good about it.

I would assume Dorney Park is good for the small ones - isn't Snoopy on most of their advertising?

We have been to both Sesame Place and Hersheypark (Hersheypark fifteen times, once every year for 15 years). IMO, you can do sesame place in one day, maybe stretching it out to two days. I would stay across the street at the Sheraton Bucks county. They have a free shuttle bus that takes you back and forth to sesame place. They also have arts and crafts/movies drop off from about 4 pm - 9 pm. Across from the hotel is a Pizzaria Uno which would probably work for dinner. Get the Starwood Preferred card and save some of the sheraton points for a possible visit to WDW Dolphin or Swan hotel!

As far as Hersheypark, I would stay at the Hershey Lodge, although the rate last summer was $269 per standard room. I know they have junior suites as well. If you have AAA you can get a 10% discount. The Hotel Hershey will be even more expensive than the lodge. Both are kid friendly, but the lodge is probably more kid friendly.

There are also package deal with the lodge and tickets or breakfast in the park, etc. The lodge (and hotel Hershey) hav free shuttle busses back and forth to Chocolate world and Hersheypark - VERY Convenient with small children when you want to break up the day. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Yep, it sure is! Cute theming--there is a whole section that has Snoopy theming.

HP and SS are 2 hours apart drivingn on the turnpike.

We have seson passes to HP every year, and love it.
