Planning on visiting Hershey, PA for several days. I know the Hotel Hershey is nice. Any other suggestions nearby the park?

Hotel Hershey is beautiful, but expensive. There are other hotels/motels in the area. My office is located in Hershey (right next to the park) and typically when we have business travellers from other offices, they stay at the Holiday Inn Express just down the road (about a mile). This hotel is also where a lot of the fast food restraunts are located, and it is convenient to the highway.

Edited to add: If you camp, Hershey has a campground as well. Hershey Highmeadow campground is next to the above-mentioned hotel and runs a shuttle to the park and to Chocolate World. A VERY nice campground.

Thanks for the tips. I don't mind paying $500 a night for a room I'm going to hang out in. But just to sleep it's a bit steep.

If you call Hershey's toll free 1-800-HERSHEY line, they can help you with reservations for any number of chain hotels in the Hershey and Harrisburg area. They know who has availability and at what rates...sort of a one-stop shop!

Sorry I cant help ya! My dd was born down there so she is a chocolate baby <3 but we haven't been down there in years. We do go for the outlets though because I am cheap :) The park is too expensive, hilly, and not good for small children. We go to knoebles :) How far away are you looking to stay and I might be able to find ya some place that isn't hotel hershey prices! haha There some "okay" hotels around the Pine grove exit its about 30 min away.

Try the budget board too they might be able to help

I live in hershey and we have TONS of hotels. Exactly how much are you looking to spend? There are the big ones that Hershey owns, The Hotel Hershey and the Hershey Lodge and there are lots of other properties near by. There is a Days Inn on Chocolate Ave that is within walking distance to the park, a Hampton Inn that is about a mile away towards Palmdale that is right beside the Hershey Pantry Rest. (yummy breakfast). There is the Hershey Travel Inn, The Milton Hershey Hotel, lots of small B&B's, I mean the list could go on and on. Check out this website.

I just visited Hershey a few weeks ago. We stayed in two different hotels; the first was Springhill Suites on Museum Drive - very convenient and a nice little hotel. It was about $150 per night.

The second was the Hershey Lodge - beautiful. We really loved this hotel, and are really looking forward to going back here next year. They have a few great spots to eat at this resort, plus a nice indoor pool AND two outdoor pools. Spotlessly clean as well. I think I paid about $275 per night, after the AAA discount.
