Hershey Bliss House Party--anyone get it??

i got in too!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait chocolate dipped........ everything!!!! UMMMMM

Apparently I am the only person NOT to have gotten into the party (well, I haven't heard back, but its not looking too good). I'm must have had a really really bad application...enjoy all your chocolate goodies though!

Okay I have been craving chocolate since I read this. If I don't get in anyone in PA want to host a Dis Hershey party and invite me?:worship:

Another House Partyer here :flower3:

I've had several "house" parties - usually just my kids & their friends over 1 day and we pass out the loot & watch the movie or whatnot. I set up the home page like we are having the party on the day they specify but in reality we have it when it fits into our schedules.

As far as what do you need to do to get into them.....
Invite 10 friends - I email my own email folders, husband, siblings & friends who are aware of the house parties.

Upload a picture or 2 - I usually do the cat or some random picture as I don't like alot of family pictures floating around out there

And most importantly reply to the "your in" email ASAP because it is a matter of what # are you to respond. Wait too long and they have filled all the slots.

I'm in too!:cool1: This will be my first and I can't wait!

I got in too.....this will be my first, now what do you do if you first said about 15 people and now it may be 25 or more.....:rotfl2: I will have everyone fighting over the goodie bags.... what do I do :confused3

but oh the planning, and it is going to be on my birthday the 27th :woohoo:

I thought I missed it because I hadn't heard from them...but I got the email today. This will be my 2nd, so I'm better prepared. My 1st was for Lipstick Jungle, which was fun to give out all the favors for my girls, but since this will be my 2nd party, I'm going to plan better! (Plus I'm having it the day before we sail with Mickey so we'll be super excited! Party with chocolates, then sail with Mickey!):lovestruc

I got in! Wooo!! I have to agree - the site was moving VERY slowly earlier. It was very frustrating trying to enter in my guest list.

I am excited about this one because I received the Aveeno rejection email. :( My last party was a Cartoon Network Foster's Imaginary Friends party.

This is one of the many reasons why I love the DIS!:thumbsup2
I've never heard of this site before, but it sounds like an awesome thing to be a part of. I registered immediately. I can't wait to see what the upcoming months will bring! :goodvibes

Anybody care to share how you have run past parties? Do you send out the invites? Do you really do the party on the days you are supposed to?
Do you post pictures? What do you have to do? Send in pictures? Do a report? How involved is this exactly? Not just the Bliss everyone is talking about...but any party really...
Thanks!!!

I asked these questions earlier but nobody is answering.

I got in too, and I was quite surprised. They sent me the finalist email, but I couldn't log in, and had to request a password reset (again! :scared: ). I had to leave for work and couldn't wait for the password email, so I figured I'd miss this one. When I got home, I got the Congratulations You're a Host email!

I should plan it with my girlfriends for PMS weekend.

I really wanted the Lipstick Jungle party, but oh well. We did have the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends party in October, that was the only other one we've won.

I will answer the ?? for you

You either A) Email the invites via the site or B) print them out via the site
The Back to Basics toy party I did do it on the day but I don't think you really have to
You can post pics, I did Not
You don't really have to do much of anything. People just showed up, I gave them the info they looked at, have a small snack and left. No pressure to buy anything (Since u don't get credit for it anyway)
You really don't have to do much at all

HTH

Thank you for the clarifications on what to do...or not do...

See my post above

I did read your post...was a little confused about the cat picture...but I suppose since you have done a few parties...they must like your cat?

Guess I was just wondering if you have to be this amazing party planner with detailed pictures and reports in order to get picked to host another...but maybe its just a random thing...

Sounds fun, hopefully I get picked, I know a few GF's - sorry girlfriends not grand floridians :rotfl2: who would love to come over just to eat chocolate...hmmm maybe if i don't get picked will have one anyway...

Thanks again...

Here's a step by step....

You apply for the parties you want into. Answer the questions. I try to be open ended and make it sound like that particular product is at the top of your list. We have done alot of the movie parties - Ben 10, Fosters, Camp Lazlo, etc. so I make it sound like that show is my kids #1 favorite with my answers - a little embellishment sometimes. Be open to doing new things - use an e-vite online, upload pictures, would you burn a CD for your event - sure but have I....

You may get an invite to be a party host. IF you get THIS email, you must respond IMMEDIATELY!!! This is a time sensitive email and once they have X amount of hosts you do not get picked. At this point you will be asked to click on a link and set up your party - once you click on that link, you are either going to be a party host or not. If they are taking 10,000 hosts and you are the 10,000 and 1 to click on the link it will not let you invite guests, etc. If you get in and are a host you will be asked to set up your party. If you do not get an invite you will get the standard you did not make the cut email.

Setting up your party - you are "required" to send an invite to 10 people - I email friends and family who are aware that I do this. Usually my "party" consists of my kids and their cousins - possibly a friend or 2. When I answer the pre-?'s I pick 10-19 guests as my party size because we are a family of 4 and if I invite my 2 siblings and their children we are at that level. They come over weekly so I do not plan a party around these themes. I DO email my husband, myself, and my kids email invites - that takes 4 of the invites right there. You will be told you need to upload X amount of pictures. I do not like broadcasting multiple family pictures all over the worldwide web for everyone to see so I upload the required # of pictures but they are of random objects instead of partying. I have never had a problem with this and have hosted about 10 parties.

My party is an evening/afternoon when my siblings bring over their kids to play and I put on the movie or I get together with my girlfriends and their kids and just pass out the goodies. It is not a "party". So don't feel that you have to have this elaborate thing. I regularly get together with a group of people and it's usually a "so what have you gotten in the mail lately" gabfest. We swap freebies, goodies, etc. House party is set up to be a fun way to get the word out on new products, it is up to you how you do it and no there is really no way they would know if you kept everything for yourself. I don't but I guess we could have.

I hope this helps :goodvibes
