okey dokey, I hope I can ask this question correctly,I know what I want to ask,but making it understandable is the problem.
As far as us on the Hero Salute, not a problem, the DH is active and we've used it before. My question is for a friend though. Her hubby is retired military, but the still have their military ID's to get on the base and all that. Can she sign up for this at all or does the retired part exempt her? Plus also keep in mind her hubby is back overseas basically doing the same thing, but as a retired military/civilian, so she'd be doing this all by herself. Big question, can she? Other, if she can how would she go about it,would she sign up under her name?
Thanks for any help! :)

From what I understand, no. It is for active duty only. My DH is retired and we can't use it anymore (but did when he was AD). Wish it was like Disney and they would include retired military. Afterall, they did at least 20 years worth of service-that's worth a free ticket in my book.

thanks, that's what I thought, but was hoping I guess! I totally agree with you. DH is on his 20th year and still going strong. My friends hubby retired with 25 yrs. so yes it's seems like it be worth at least a ticket.
Thanks again appreciate it!:)

They should include others though. My husband is a vetran and was wounded and cannot be in the military no longer and we can't even stay at disney shades of green...:confused3

Are you sure? If it's service related you can and if it's not, you can but only in the off season. (which IIRC is Jan. and Sept. )
