Hero Character breakfast?

I remember reading a while back about this being done maybe as "test" on Mother's day....was it added? Will it be?

No plans to add it as far as anyone knows. It was a hit on Mother's Day, why they don't consider it is beyond me.

Just to clarify, the Mother's Day Brunch was not a "Hero Character Meal."

There were some heroes like Hercules in the waiting area posing for pictures while people were hanging around waiting for their table to be ready. But once inside the World Showplace for the buffet meal, the atmospherre was very refined, even to the point of a strolling acoustic guitarist. There were no characters at the Brunch itself.

I remember that article on mouseplanet.com, but that was written before the event. My family and I were there on Mother's Day, and I'm reporting what actually happened! If anyone else who was there is reading this I'm sure they saw the same thing we did!

There is no reason to get upset (guessing at all the !!!)
We were there May 8, and even though the characters we not inside the meal, that does not mean Disney wasn't testing the reaction of the patrons to the characters.

Does anyone know how far out you need to book this? I didn't look carefully enough at the post to realize the quote from Mouseplanet was actually pre-mother's day. I just read that seating was booking up fast! So, DH called reservations this morning and was told that they weren't booking that far out for anything yet. Oops!

So, is that the typical 90 days or earlier?

Thanks for the info.! We hope to do this next Mother's Day. Also, if you went last year, what was the cost? We will have 2 adults, DS (6), DD (2).

Where do they have this? My cousin said when they went it was "at the world showcase". Where in the world showcase?

As far as anyone knows at this point, this was a one-time-only event for last Mother's day. No word from Disney yet that this event will take place again, either on Mother's day or any other time. We'll just have to wait to see if Disney decides to repeat something similar to last year's event or if they may decide in the future to add an actual hero character meal. No one knows at this point.

You can book it 90 days out, it's like any other PS!

In 2005 it was $29.99 plus tax (gratuity included) for ages 12 and up, and $12.99 plus tax (gratuity included) for ages 3-11.

It's in the World SHOWPLACE, which is in the World SHOWCASE! The World Showplace is the old Millennium Village building, located between Canada and the UK.
