Here's what a little PIXIE DUST can do ....... a dining review+pics COMPLETED!!!!!

I want those donuts NOW!!!!!!!!!

But although we do have Krispy Cremes here in the UK, they are quite hard to come by, and never taste like those beauties!

Potato skins used to be my appetizer staple. Those looked good!
And, of course-- so did the donuts!! Glad they weren't a stale batch!!

Sounds about right, the boys will have to fend for themselves :rotfl:

EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you forget someone. What I wouldn't do for a Krispy Kreme...they closed all of the Chicagoland ones and I haven't one in over 18 months.

Ok THREE boxes and a gallon of icy cold milk and then we will have to call a cab to get us back to the resort because we will be too sick to drive ourselves :rotfl:

We used to get them trucked in from Miami and Tampa but they stopped doing that a year ago...the only time I get them is in Kissimmee...Sams used to sell them but alas they have stopped carrying them.....

Closed all the Krispy Kremes in the Pittsburgh area too.
We can only get them at gas stations....pffft.
Luckily the bakery at my local Martin's grocery store is pretty good when a fix is needed.

Thanks for sharing...I can't decide whether I'm hungry or full after all those pictures! *YUM*

We were so excited when we discovered Krispy Kreme in a shop in London, but even though they were GOOD, they were just not the same as the ones in the US - can't beat the hot of the belt ones!

ZERO gram of trans-fat! Delicious and good for you at the same time...:cool1:

:thumbsup2 Don't we all just love that!

These were my first pototo skins and they will NOT be my last ones! ;) I really enjoyed them! ........ and fresh doughnuts :cloud9:

Ups, sorry Kathy! But I will share with ya! :lmao:

Hey, even better idea - THREE boxes!! :rotfl:

It is such a shame they closed so many stores and stores stopped carrying them! They are doughnut heaven!

I am glad that you at least get something that comes close to the "original"! Our doughnuts here, even though they ARE yum yum, are very different from the US variety and they are only on the menu for a certain period of time (carnival!)

Thanks for sharing...I can't decide whether I'm hungry or full after all those pictures! *YUM*

Either way I am glad you enjoyed the reviews! ;) I still have most of my WDW ones to review, so stay tuned!

Day 16, Aug 30

Lunch at International Food and Film Festival (UO)

Our last full day at UO. We started the day with some leftover Krispy Kreme doughnuts :scared1: Yip, we did not finish the whole box! :lmao:

We had just missed the boat to Universal Citywalk, so we walked down to Universal Citywalk.

We went to USO and rode some of our favourite rides. Rip, Ride, Rock it was down, so we just "walked on" the other rides there. Don't you just love Universal Express! ;)

Around midday we decided to have some lunch. We walked into the International Food and Film Festival, there was plenty of space, so we got in line. We both decided on some Asian food.

IMG_3190.jpg

We got an Egg Roll to share. It was crisp on the outside, filled with yummy meat and lots of veg and when dipped into soy sauce, it was really nice.

IMG_3188.jpg

This was the Sweet and Sour Chicken - Served with White or Fried Rice and Stir Fry Vegetables. We had thought about sharing our entrees, but actually that was not necessary.

This was the Szechwan Orange Chicken - Served with White or Fried Rice and Stir Fry Vegetables. The meat for both came from the same container and even though the sauce came from two different containers you could not taste much difference. Both were rather on the sweet side.
But what DO you want - this is just a CS place and the fried rice was quite nice and well seasoned and the veg were crunchy and tasted fresh.

We went on a few more rides until the early afternoon.

Up next - Starbuck's coffee

Still day 16, Aug 30

Starbuck's drinks

We enjoyed our time strolling through USO and finally arrived in San Francisco.

IMG_3202.jpg

There is a Starbuck's and now that I think of it, it could also be in New York! :lmao: It's a shame these two cities are so close together! :rotfl:

Well, Starbuck's always calls my name, so we had to have something!

IMG_3204.jpg

IMG_3205.jpg

Unfortunately I am a VERY boring person when it comes to my "coffee" choices - I always have the Caramel Frappuccino. The "next" Starbuck's here, where we live is 200 km away, in Vienna, so guess what I had when we had to go to Vienna for a convention this weekend - a Caramel Frappuccino - even though it was freezing cold outside! :rotfl2:

IMG_3207.jpg

Tom likes to try far more coffee choices. He had a Java Chip Frappuccino Light Blended Coffee. He really enjoyed it and I liked the sip I had but was a very happy bunny with my caramel drink!

We spent the rest of the afternoon doing a little shopping and packing our bags. For dinner we had some cold cuts, cheese, bread and salad we had gotten from Publix. No photos there, I guess we all know what that looks like!!

So, what is next??

13 more days of just Disney food!!! So please stay tuned as a personal favourite of mine is up next
Wolfgang Puck's Express!!

LOVE my Java Chip Frappucino's. But I don't get them "light." If I'm going to have them, I want all the fattening calories that goes along with them. :rotfl2:

Love all your delicious pics and food reviews! They make me hungry every time I read them! I worked at Starbucks for 3 years and my stomach can no longer tolerate it but I do love their teas! (I could take free tea every week rather than coffee so I have a pretty big collection)

We are going to WDW tomorrow and hope we have as much fun as you did:worship: We try to eat someplace different every time we go. This time we have Teppan Edo, Askerhus, and Sanna. I hope to go to Cosmic Rays too:wizard:

I love the food on the Wonder and plan on trying new things there too but no Palo for us this time.

I remember it being advertised as a "healthy choice" :rotfl2: - that's why I didn't get it - I am not one for the healthy things! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful time at WDW and the Disney Wonder!! Teppan Edo is wonderful - have the tea pudding for dessert, it is an odd colour, but so yummy! We LOVED Sanaa and it is on my "must return" list for our trip next summer! Very different food from "their" usual food, but SO good. I had the cauliflower and it was just to die for!
Have a safe trip and enjoy your time there - don't forget the food review for us poor people back home! ;)

TEASE! I cannot get my foot in the door at the Starbucks right next door! :lmao:

I LOVE the caramel frappachino and I always get it light with whipped cream and caramel drizzle...dont know why but I feel better about drinking a bunch of them if they are light!

At least you HAVE a Starbuck's right next door! :lmao: I need to travel two hours in a car to find one! :scared1:

Caramel Frappuccinos are the best!!!! Light or not!!!! :cloud9:

Two hours!!!! :scared1: I'd be moving in a heartbeat. I work in downtown Chicago and we have one every two blocks! :)

LUCKY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could move closer to a Starbuck's but then I would need to leave my favourite patissier behind and actually ........ I kinda can live without Starbuck's, even though it IS hard, but I definitely cannot live without his cakes and sweet creations!

Here are some his creations:

Okay...now you've gone and done it. I was not having dessert after my lunch because I have to go to the dentist after work and I was trying to be good. Now, I'm going to head to my hidden stash of chocolate becuase you made me hungry/drooling over the pictures of those cakes. LOVE EM!
