As part of our potty training success program for a precocious kid who realized it was more efficient for her to get a diaper changed at her leisure than take time away from playing to use the restroom, we decided to take the kids to WDW . We found a date with FD, that wouldn't be crowded, during the value season, and booked it.
When we realized that our friends were going to go down around the same time but during a regular price no-FD week, we were sad that we would miss them - until a PIN showed up that gave us FD during that week. So, we changed our booking, paid the $150 more, and were set to go.
Their kid had a bit of an accident and is in a cast. It's doubtful that the kid will be healed in time to go, and that means we'll be making the trek down, staying, and returning by ourselves.
I know things happen, and hopefully they had the travel insurance to cover the lost deposit monies (one advantage of driving instead of flying is no need to cancel tickets), but I'm really saddened and disappointed with the fates - that Lachesis always seemed a little shifty to me.
