I made some PS reservations for our upcoming trip. Most of the choices were made keeping in mind the fact that (as DVC members,) we get dining discounts at all those chosen (we'll probably be eating one big meal out per day). But since they're all new to me...just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions on my choices based on past experiences.

Thanks!

Deb

Sat 11/8 - Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner
Sun 11/9 - Gulliver's for dinner
Mon 11/10 - Chefs de France for lunch
Tues 11/11 - Olivia's for dinner
Wed 11/12 - Wolfgang Puck's for lunch
Thurs 11/13 - Rainforest Cafe at AK for lunch

I can comment on Wolfgang's and RFC at the AK. Last time DH and I were at Disney we dined at Wolfgang Puck's twice! The meals were wonderful and for what you pay the portions were...excuse the pun....ON THE MONEY!! ::yes:: We spent $80 for lunch one day....I know....$80????? We were on what was then called the Discovery Magic Plan and we each had an appetizer, we shared a bowl of soup, we both had an entree and we both had a dessert. After tacking on the 15% gratuity, that bought our total to right about $80. The next lunch we downed it by $30 spending somewhere around $50. Wolfgang's is noisy, but I'm a server, so I'm used to the hustle and bustle. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. :hyper:
As far as the RFC, DH and I did it for breakfast before we visited the AK for the day. We had a 8:30 PS and were seated about 5-7 minutes after we checked in. The theming is very cool and I love the thunderstorms and the animals going off every 20 minutes or so.
Enjoy yourself!! Eating is one of the major reasons I go to Disney. Disney just isn't Disney unless I'm dining somewhere and experiencing something new.

Is a great choice for dinner chef has done great job with menu and is a 100% improvement over past few years.I think you have made some great choices and would only have good reviews for all except Wolfgang Puck's which we have not tried so I couldn't give you any comments on it.:wave2:

I read my most recent vacation magic last night, and it now says you get a DVC discount at Artist Point also... just FYI. It sounds like you have some great choices made already though.

Love Wolfgang Pucks and go there every time we visit. My favorites on their menu are the pasta with fresh tomatoes and the butternut squash soup. Yummy!!

Thanks for your input everyone! Yeah, I see that Artist Point is included also...I'm still mulling it over. If I had a choice, I'd eat lunch AND dinner out everyday..try as many places as possible. But my parents are with us and I don't think they want to spend their entire retirement on meals :p

Hadjii, I'm hoping to find out where the off site Sushi Place is too....my mouth is already watering over that!
