Here's my plan--what do you think?

This is kind of last minute to ask for opinions--I'm calling in the morning for my September ADRs, :yay: but what do you think?

It'll be me--Planning maniac, loves to eat, especially dessert!
My 11 year old niece--never been to Disney and may possibly be The World's Pickiest Eater
A friend who hasn't been to Disney since she was 13. She doesn't care so much about the food, and is leaving all planning to me. That's my kind of travelling companion!

Of the 3 of us, I'm the most concerned about the food, so I'm trying to be unselfish and book meals with a neat atmosphere.

We'll be on a short trip--only one day per park, plus our arrival day, so I really had to take that into consideration. No resort dinners this time--the travel time would be too much.

Okay, here we go:

9/7--flying in late afternoon--Magic Kingdom--Crystal Palace for dinner. I had really wanted to try this for breakfast, but can't fit it in, so dinner it is. I think they'll both enjoy the characters and there's something for everyone on the buffet.

9/8--Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney. I'm not making any ADRs for this day even though I really wanted to try Raglan Road.

9/9--Epcot--Coral Reef for lunch and Rose & Crown for dinner and Illuminations. I'm going to try to get the diver at CR as a surprise, and even if I can't, I think they'll both enjoy the tank. I've never eaten here myself, and am looking forward to the desserts! I'm going to pass up LeCellier and the Mushroom Filet :sad1: for R&C and try to get balcony seating for Illuminations. I did this a few years ago and it worked out really well. With our time crunch this trip, I'm hoping this will save us a little time, especially with 2 TS restaurants today.

9/10--HS--I'm planning on the Fantasmic package at H&V. I haven't eaten here before, either. I've done MM my last 2 trips and wasn't overwhelmed either time, so I'm going for the buffet again.

9/11--Magic Kingdom Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, if I can get it, lunch if I can't. My niece desperately wants to eat in the castle, but wasn't thrilled with any of the food choices for lunch or dinner, and she WILL eat most everything breakfast.

So what do you think?

I like the dinner mind. They do some nice mac&cheese (I am such a kid still)

Ragland Road is great. As long as you go at a resonable hour there is never much of a wait.

Sounds like a good idea. Not a fan of the R&C food but the illuminations view is fantastic.

Love the dinner package but haven't done H&V for evening meal

Sounds like the best bet. I wasn't fused on the evening or lunch food their either

Sounds like a good plan....however, don't waste valuable touring time on Coral Reef. I would do a counter service lunch at Epcot and then do dinner for Illuminations.

Everything else sounds great!! If you want an ADR for Downtown Disney, picky eaters like Rainforest Cafe. That would be a good one for kids too.

Crystal Palace and CRT are GREAT choices by the way. I really liked CRT bfast and want to try dinner.

lrpickett,
Looks like we will be at Disney on the exact same days! And to make it more interesting, we will be in MK and EPCOT on the same days too. =) We only have Corel Reef in common though. I am looking forward in eating "under the sea".

Regarding your other ADRs, we had the Fantasmic package before at H&V. H&V is pretty good. Good selections and very much like 50s Prime Time Cafe next door. I didn't think the advance seating to Fantasmic was exactly necessary. They reseved the seats on the side for us so the view wasn't great. I'd much had rather sit in the back, but in the center instead. We wasted a lot of time just sitting around waiting for the show to start too. Next time when I go see Fantasmic, I will no more than 10 minutes before the show starts. You can pretty much see the show from any where.

Have a magical vacation! :cheer2:
