Here's an idea... Mutiny in pirates...

More often than I would like I end up on a team where one or two players are so mean and rude... I often fear that people with think since we are on the same team I condone such talk, which I dont... and I got to thinking...

How about a Mutiny button (kind of like a drop the flag button) but this one, if you click it would allow you one good shot at your own team mate... sending them to see Davy's jones...

Yeah yeah I know they will never do it... but I am sure there are a few of us out there that would love the option. I guess when I find myself into that situation I will just pretend the drop flag is a mutiny button and shoot them for the heck of it...

See what happens when BSOD takes over... I start thinking...

i just had to tell somebody to 'watch their language' in pirates cause they were being so rude. thankfully they said sorry and cheered on their team
Nice idea i would have used it on one or more occasions lol

p.s i keep playing pirates and winning but my credits dont show up and i dont get the message?!?!

I don't have as many problems with those on my opposing team as i do with those on my team. Once my teammate(s) die, they find the need to tell me what to do and often start harrassing the other team. If they do this, i simply stand still and let the other team win. It's really no skin off my back, but these people want to win so bad that they feel the need to harrass others and i'll have no part in it. Why would i want to feed the bragging of my teammates. Well, at least that's what i do.

It appears that pirates brings out the worst in some ppl. In the midst of the lag this morning my team exited on to the dock (I was last standing btw) and a player on the pirate side decided to yell at his team mate because they lost the game. I walked over to him and said plz be nice she did her best for your team but the lag is bad. His reply: well she didnt even fire! My reply: Oh and you fired at that tree why?
Needless to say I made my point. We all have bad days and good days, its a game to be enjoyed no matter how you or your team plays.

Sometimes when my teammates are annoying i shoot them anyway, i know it doesn't hurt them but usually gets my point accross hehe.

When i try to play pirates it says entering the game or something like that and then it just throws me back to the lobby... what should i do!?

In Ship Battle I was last standing and time almost over then the team mate said

"Stop Running And Shoot Them You Slow (Bad Word Can't Post) And Help Me Win."

At that point I just let the other team kill me and said in the lobby

"That Was For Calling Me Something Wrong."

once i was playing ship battle with 4 people. i was the last person on my team standing, and this kid on the pirates team starts saying i suck and that i wasn't really 'cool' (believe me, in real life i'm not ). about thirty minutes later after i finshed that game, the same kid was on my team and was acting like nothing happened earlier that day and being all nice to me. sometimes, i wonder about that kid...

i also wish that you could blow up your own teammate because then it would be more of a challenge, and if they're way too annoying (like what you said, Laurabearz )

OH I SO want a mutiny button, awesome idea bearz! There have been more times than I can count where I just go to the corner of the screen and refuse to play. It's worth the 21 credits just to teach them a lesson. Muahahaha

Here's why a mutiny button wouldn't work....
The people who want to win all the time will just switch to the other side if they see the other team has better players. I think that a mutiny button would just provoke bad behavior, not lessen it.

I have one problem with this idea:
What of those greedy players that think, "Oh, if I blow up my teammate, I can get extra credits!!" ? This button would be a whole new way for them to bully other players. Imagine having 120 points one round and have your partner right beside you, ready to win, then BOOM! They hit you with full force and steal all of your credits. Or, they just sit back the whole round, then when you have just blown up the last enemy, they blast you and steal all of your credits right before the round ends. That wouldn't be very fun, to have sweet victory snatched away at the last second by your own teammate.

this is why i only play with my sister (i'm on my laptop, and she's on the home computer) and we use al players for the other ships.

It would be a one time shot deal.... and you would get no points for it. Just the mear satisfaction of blowing the rude teammate up...

And it's more of a dream than true want... I truely want to be able to place all my pins on the wall...
