For those of you staying at the Cont, take advantage of that "quick walk" to MK.

On our last trip, we came back to our hotel for an afternoon swim and rest. I sent my DH to the pool with the kids and I went to MK by myself!!!! I spent an hour and a half just shopping my way around the world. It was wonderful and relaxing with no kid distractions. Most of the stores in the parks have sale items, so take the time to check them out, too.

Sounds like a great idea, I love touring MK solo :)

hi: here's a long-time favorite of mine- dh and teens go into disney quest, taking their cell phones with them of course. i walk to dd and do my shopping for a couple of hours(and have it all shipped back home so there's no bags to carry), call them and have one of them meet me at the entrance or let me know where to find them inside.

A slight twist to that approach we like to do. We let our DD sleep in on MK Magic Hour morning and one of us walk to the park from CR. Then later in the morning, we meet in the park. This works later in the week when she is worn out and needs the rest. MK solo during the Magic Hour is very relaxing.

Pointandshoot,

I love that idea. This year we
are staying at Poly. My girls are now 7 and 10 and they sleep later. Maybe I'll let everyone sleep in one day and have them meet me at MK later.

This is one of the reasons we love the Contemporary! It's great to be able to walk to and from the MK in such a short amount of time.
