We're still trying to figure out which means of transportation to use from LAX to Disneyland. We're staying on Harbour. After reading through the archives, the Airport Bus gets mixed to good reviews. People seem to like the comfy seats and big bus atmosphere. The main complaint seems to be how long it can take to get to your hotel if you're not at a Disney property. What if we got off at the DLH (that's where it stops first, right?) and walked through Downtown Disney to our hotel on Harbour? I know it would be about a 15, 20 min walk, but... we could exchange our ticket vouchers on the way through :rotfl2: Would that be faster, or just crazy? We're also looking into Golden West Express and Tony the Limo King, which would probably be better, hey?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

The problem would be having to clear the security checks near the DL/DCA entrance with your luggage. They are required to open and search all bags, which could be a pain.

Ooh yeah... Forgot about the security checks. Thanks! I guess we'll just have to pick a method and go with it! Methinks I'm obsessing a little too much... :rolleyes1

hi there, we leave in 24 days and i knew when we were booking transportation we wanted something fast and for just us...i dont know how many in your party, but for us, we are a family of 5, and we chose to go with primetime shuttle, it is a very small difference for us to have our own private van...just one stop and only our family's luggage, cant beat that...it is 154 dollars return...and i think all the other methods were going to cost us about 140 dollars, so for just 14 dollars more, we will get privacy and will get to and from the airport faster....hoping they are good!!!
sharon :thumbsup2

You might want to take a look at the schedule at www.airportbus.com. That way you'll know how long it takes to get to your hotel/ what order they drop off in. My complaint with them was not getting to the hotel, but getting back to the airport. They last time we used the service (may 2000 so they may have changed), you got on at the hotel, then went to a transfer station. There they divide people up based on airport and airline, and reload you on to buses. I hated spending the time to do that.

I like using the airport bus.

If you have more than two people in your group, it may be worth renting a car. We rented from Hertz at LAX in September, used it for a day and returned it to their Hertz Local Edition that is about a mile from Disneyland. Then the day before we left, we rented from that same Hertz Local Edition (they even picked us up from across from Disneyland) and we had the car to go back to the airport in. The price was about the same as the airport bus for the 3 of us, and we were able to use the car the first and last days for other stops.

If you go this route, there is also an Alamo rental office in DTD, which would be very convienent.

We used Karmel shuttle, it was nice and they were very friendly. It's a regular sized passenger van. After you collect your luggage you call them and they take you straight to your hotel and when it's time to leave, you call 24 hours ahead of time and they come back to your hotel for you.
They charge $32/adult roundtrip.

We used Super Shuttle and were very happy with it. We booked, but could have just turned up at LAX.

It's $15 each way plus tip. It may stop at other hotels on the way (ours was 4th and last in the Anaheim area) but it does take you straight to the front door of your hotel without any need to change vans or walk.
