Honey, if you're going to flirt with my husband through the entire meal, then you better be damn sure he's the one who's paying the check! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

Holy cow, I've never seen such blatant flirting in front of me! DH was SO mortified and didn't know which way to turn. :lmao:

Has that ever happened to you? How did you react?

:rotfl2: That is so funny. I have never noticed that happening to me. Most of the time the waitress or waiter tries to butter us up by paying extra-special attention to te kids. I will have to pay closer attention to how they treat DH from now on.

I hope you left her a written note as a tip! :rolleyes1

It was funny!

DH is usually blind to things like that, but even he was uncomfortable. I kept teasing him about it, asking if he wanted me to leave so they could get a room.

I jokingly told DH that I was going to write in the tip line: "no flirting with my husband!"

I did give her 20%, though. She was good enough aside from the flirting.

I wouldn't have left her a cent.

Odds are (not too take anything away from your DH ;) ), that she flirts with the men, because they're usually the ones paying the bill, and it gets her larger tips.

That's a lot of nerve!

Some years ago DH and I went out for supper at an Applebee's. Our waitress sat in DH's lap. I don't recall how we reacted, but I know we didn't let it ruin our evening. We understand there are those who think such things will increase tips.

I think the very last time my ex and I went out to dinner, the waitress didn't even glance in my direction once. All of her attention was focused on him. At least she got my order correct...at least she got my order, period. I thought it was kind of funny.

He also had the girl at Price Chopper hitting on him - right in front of me. If we didn't get in her line, she'd wave and yell, "Missed you today!" I also thought it was funny at the time.

It would bother me. I don't know if I would do anything but I get jealous. I don't care what other people have as long as it is not my husband. ;)

There was a time that would have ended in a redneck cat fight :lmao: . Now I'd probably take it as permission to use my sarcastic abilities to full advantage.

I would have left her a dollar tip with a little note:
"I wear the pants in this family--blatant flirting with my husband got your tip docked! But the service was otherwise great--THANKS!"
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: ;)

The funniest part is, it's true! I make 99% of the financial decisions in our family, and I *always figure up the bill and decide on the tip. My husband doesn't enjoy doing it and I can do it very quickly (we usually leave 20% so it's easy to see at a glance how much to leave). I mean, the flirting would have annoyed me and nothing else. I don't care if someone thinks my husband is attractive (he is), but it's pretty obvious this waitress was angling for a big tip with her trashiness, so it would have pleased me immensely to nip that plan in the bud.:headache: He also would have been irritated and uncomfortable with the flirting, so that alone makes it a BIG problem. I probably would have called later to complain about her, too. Just as an FYI to the manager. (Not expecting compensation of any kind, lol, thought I'd throw that in there for the DISboards police!:woohoo: )

I could see if your DH was alone or with another guy but with you right there at the table, wow, she's got way too much nerve!

My DH is a cutie and he's really nice on top of that. If someone was flirting with him, he wouldn't even notice. It would go right over his head.

I've had men flirt with my husband right in front of me, let alone women!!!!:scared1:

Usually I tell him to use his power to get us a free dessert! ;)

I can't believe how bold and ignorant some woman can be. Me with my big mouth she would of known that her behavior was unacceptable.

Some door to door salesskank came to my door some 21 years ago and my husband let her in.
She was not only openly flirting with him but bending over and letting him see what she had to offer in either direction. Only one little bitty problem, I was right there and 6 months pregnant and emotional. I didn't take it to well. Once I was able to yank my arm from his grasp I threw her out and came close to throwing him out too.
I did calm down, but I don't remember him answering the door again.

I needed to add that he was laughing at me most of the time. And whenever a sales person came to the door he would throw his hands up in surrender and back away laughing at me some more. :)

What exactly did she say or do?

Well, first off, I'd gone to the bathroom, so he was sitting alone. She started up general chit-chat with him and then just started getting friendlier and chattier with him. By the time I got to the table, she was in the middle of telling him her life story -- she was standing right next to his seat, leaning really close to him. I could tell right off the bat that he was in an awkward situation because he was leaned really far back in the booth like he was trying to escape. She was saying something about how she was working there until she could find something more "suitable for her intelligence" when I walked up. She was so familiar with him that I thought they knew each other!

The rest of the meal, it was just her whole demeanor. She was polite with her other customers and didn't spend more time than necessary with them. Every time she came to our table, she lingered and made eye contact with DH. She kept her back turned to me most of the time. She definitely seemed interested in him! It was just really strange.
