Hi to all,
We're just back from the BIG 'D' back in October, and I'd like to share with yall a delightful meal at MK.We've eaten at several locations in the MK over the years, but had never eaten at Pinocchio's Village Haus until this trip.We all get what each other wants, and I can't remember what everyone else had,but that's not important anyway. My meal is the one I am writing about.I had the antipasto salad. This had to be probably one of the best salads that I have ever had.The tastes that all blended together was very soothing to the palete. It was coated with a mildly tangy vinegarette dressing that made every bite so tastey. As with any antipasto salads,it had all of the normal ingredients in it.Not to mention, that just the salad alone, will fill anyone up.There is a whole lot more in the plastic bowl than what appears.
Here's a tip:after getting your food,go as far towards the back area as possible, and it is rather quiet and quaint back there.
If anyone else has had this same antipasto salad, please post your comments here in this thread.I'll also be posting some more threads about some more restaurants that we ate at while on our trip.

I have not eaten at the Pinocchio Village Haus at WDW, but I have eaten at the the Pinoccio Village Hauses at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Those two restaurants still serve burgers and I always thought that the food there was a bit better than the other counter service restaurants. They also seem to be a better value.

Glad that you enjoyed the restaurant. I'll have to try it on my next visit to WDW.

Boy, this is funny. We had a great trip with food, and all agreed that the antipasto was one of the excellant meals that stood out - one of the best we have ever had. And, it was huge! The restaurant was a zoo, (busy...) We had to eat on the tiny balcony at top, and one of the other diners actually spilled his coke over the balcony onto a baby below. ! The sub sandwich and cannoli was pretty good too. But yes, the salad was excellant. It was also our first time there...

Well there ya go!
Isn't it funny how things work out this way? We have eaten at Columbia Harbour House many times, but went with this place this time.We will definitely go back to PVH to eat again.
Check this out:when we were at MK that day,we got there early enough to eat breakfast, then lunch and then supper. That's a first for us!To eat all three meals in the same park, all on the same day.

In June the restaurant was closed and we were told they were transitioning to a new italian style menu. we were sad to miss our usual hamburgers that trip, but sounds like it was worth it!

We tried Pinocchio's on our October trip and thought it was so good. I had the grilled turkey and bacon panini and it was really delicious. Also, we tried the Figaro fries (fries with bacon, cheddar cheese, letture and tomatoes) and those were sooooo good. I love the new menu, it's so much better. :)

I just added this to my list of "must do" restaurants! Can't wait to try the salad!

Hi: Can I ask what was in the salad. I would like to try it but have allergies to certain things.

Deb.

I had the turkey panini in October too. It was great, and HUGE. Much better menu now than the old burgers. We will definitely eat here again when choosing counter service in the MK.

Deb,
I am sorry,but I can't remember everything that was in the salad,but from what I do rememeber,there was a blend of lettuces,romaine,raddaccio(spelling is wrong I am sure),others that slip my mind.Also,black olives,several meats-if my memory serves,ham,salami,a seasoned ham(I think),and I think turkey.Also some cheese,the kind,I don't remember.Tomatoes-cherry.A vinegarette dressing also.Sorry,I don't think I am much help here,but I hope I did. :confused3

Thanks Darel:

My hubby would be able to eat it, but the cheese and salami will trigger a migraine headache in me. But I appreciate you describing what you can remember, thanks,

I do want to try the restaurant though.

Deb.

Sounds as though you had a fantastic meal.

Need to ask but where is this restaurant located? I don't think I have ever noticed this place but it sounds like a good place to eat.

good to know... it used to be horrendous so we hadn't gone for 20 yrs ( talk about holding a grudge lol!)

it's in fantasy land in mk

It's located to the right of Small World.

Interesting...I like this trend in counter-service, offering more than just the typical burger and fries. I might be trying more counter-service my next trip...
