I was browsing Disney.com last night and came across a link to a set of commercials in the Quicktime format that many of you may or may not have seen. Out of the bunch I had only seen one of them(I don't get to watch TV all that much). The 30-60second commercials are pretty cool, some quite emotional and others rather comical. Click on the link below(remember, you need to have the Quicktime Player) and then click on the "Play Commercials" link on the right side of the page just beneath the picture of Cinderella's Castle.

I LMAO when I saw that Prince Charming commercial for the first time. That is a great commercial

I had never seen the Little Princess one. I watched it and this 26 year old father of a one year old teared up in his class room. I cant wait till my Abby Mouse can take her throne as a disney princess!!!

Does anyone know if there is a way to download those to your computer. I have a fast connection at school and at home I have a snail connection. I would love to have those to keep me in the magic. Yes I am blissfully and blindly loyal so oh well it is my $$$ Hope someone can help!

If you're using a Mac it's easy...
Set your quicktime settings to save to cache. Once it's done, go to Sherlock & search for files created that day, organize them by when their type & grab the quicktime ones & drag them to the desktop...voila! :)

If your computer is using the Windows platform it's relatively easy to save these commercials on to your hard drive. After clicking on the "Play Commercials" link, a smaller window will open up on the screen. There'll be thumnails of each of the commercials in this window. Instead of left clicking on the thumbnail that you want to play, right click and highlight "Save Target As" from the drop-down screen. A new window will pop up that's called "Save Picture". The "Save in" window here should display "Desktop", if not select it from the drop down arrow in that window. Next, on the lower right of that window click "Save" and the commercial will begin downloading into a Windows Explorer folder. These are very small files so it shouldn't take long at all(I have cable access and it took about 5 seconds). Once completed you can find a link to that file on your desktop(it will have a prominent windows explorer icon on it, followed by the file name underneath that was assigned to it when you downloaded it). Double click on this shortcut and presto, your commercial should play upon demand.

These are all a great series of ads.

What’s most interesting is that for the last several years Disney has really stressed the “hip, edgy, terminally trendy” attitude. Downtown Disney, everything in California Adventure, the entire Villians merchandise campaign and all the rest. Yet these ads are unashamedly sentimental. First Anna Hamburger and the entertainment group was tamed and now it looks like it’s spreading.

It’s also really funny to hear Alec Baldwin’s voice in something so utterly “Bush” (as the current buzz word calls it). I guess paychecks matter more than beliefs.

The site must be down...'cause all I get past the line-up of commercials is a flash ad for Atlantis' DVD and storybook.

:(

It's working this morning larry.

Thanks.

What I had to do is copy the shortcut, and paste it in a new window. Then it would play. They were great!

For some reason if I did anything but that, then a commercial for Atlantis would ocme up.
