Y'know the foam crafting sheets...thin like a dime or so? This can used for snowmen or sandmen depending where you live. Example: for a Dalmation cut out black spots, long ears, red tongue and a collar, eyes, tail, and put them in a inexpensive cloth wine bag like from the dollar store. When you get smow, build the body shape of the animal and then push the faom pieces into the snow! I know it doesn't last forever, but something cute to do and inexpensive idea for kids to give to their friends. Plus my kids like coming up with the animal and cutting out the "parts"!
