Just received all my documents to fill out today. I think buying my house was easier than this. We will get them off to Fed Ex tommorrow.

On another note I was on a waiting list for a 2 bedroom at the BWV. Put my request in on Tuesday afternoon for a March trip...short notice. Found out this morning I'm in. Got lucky I guess....burn 05 points quick. Now I just need to get a cheap flight. Any suggestions?

Also I have November booked. ::yes:: I would assume I should get the AP for the family. Is that $100 off per person, even the child rate?? Also in March the Dining plan isn't in effect so is that DDE card for $60 worth the money??

does SouthWest fly out of an airport near you? if so get on their mailing list.

it is a $100 off every member of your family (and yes that includes children).

if you should buy it depends upon your - will be there more than 9 days this year?

Congratulations and Welcome Home!! I would try expedia.com for airfare. Sometimes they have some great last minute rates. Enjoy!!!!:flower:

Southwest does fly from our home airport and so far they are the least expensive. The two trips we are planning would be 16 days at the parks. What about the DDE card...is that worth it??

We are doing a March trip too, so we are getting the DDE card. I think it will be worth our while for a long trip like ours. I think the discount on the child's passes is around $75, and the adults are $100. I'll try to check and make sure.

I just looked it up on the website, these prices include the DVC discount and tax, Adult $335.48 Child $295.01.

for me it doesn't....

but I have food allergies. eating out is not fun when you have food allergies.

other people on this site love the DDE card.

You need your annual pass to get the DDE card - you can only order the DVC annual pass from the DVC member site. Call MS and have them immediately forward you the information so you can be sure to get everything before your trip.

I think someone say it took 4 to 6 weeks to get the DDE card. Make sure that MS knows what you are trying to do. get both an annual pass and DDE card BEFORE your trip.

Call the Member Services 800 number. Select the option for people who need help logging into the DVC Member website. They might be able to help you. Have your paper work handy because they will ask you for some info from your contract in order to identify you.

As far as the DDE card goes, the price is $60 for one year. It gives you 20% off food and alcohol at most table service restaurants and a few counter service places (primarily where there are no table service restaurants such as at Animal Kingdom). It is good for up to 10 people on the same check. If you tend to eat at table service restaurants the savings can add up quickly. If you like wine or beer with your meal, the savings can add up even faster. :drinking1

You can order the DDE card by phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. You need to provide the numbers off your AP or voucher to order the card. The card is good for one year and a bit starting the day you order it. (The card expires at the end of the month in which you order it plus one year. If you order it after the first week or so of the month, it expires at the end of the following month plus one year.) The time it takes for the card to arrive in the mail varies depending on the workload in the DDE office. Last I heard people were receiving their cards in 2-3 weeks. (Check out the Restaurants board because there are usually several threads discussing the DDE.) If you are less than 2 weeks from your travel dates you can still order the card. They can leave a temporary DDE card for you to pick up at Epcot's Guest Relations (outside the front entrance of Epcot).
