It's been a while fellow Disers...

When we started planning our first trip to WDW (june 2005) I thought it was a once in a lifetime trip. Dh is the strong silent type, but even I saw him get teary eyed when DD5 saw the fireworks over the castle and yelled, "look daddy, pixie dust!" Since then he loves to watch extreme home makeover, especially when they send the families to WDW and he points out what we saw and did.
Now that they have the Christmas at WDW on the food network, he mentioned how he would LOVE to go during the holidays. That means our he is seriously considering going back for Christmas 2006. He thinks I am crazy to start planning now, but I want to start budgeting and now found out ADRs are available 180 days out (correct me if I am wrong)
I am so excited, I can't stand it.
What are the top 5 things I should now about going to WDW in December 06?? What things have changed since June? We will be using the Dining plan again. I can't say enough about it...we would have never been able to afford the wonderful places we ate at without it!

With five in the family, I'd strongly suggest at least one ADR a day to make sure that you'll have at least one meal a day. That's my rule of thumb for our WDW trips no matter what the time of year. Besides, planning is part of the fun; by starting early, you can extend the fun!

DW and I are going to WDW for our 10+1 anniversary next December; grandma is going to come visit to watch the children. We called last night to get an ADR for the HDDR, and the cast member told us that she only had two tables left for a party of two. I thought I was being pretty hard core making the ADR at 1 year out. HDDR is one of the exceptions to the 180 day rule; I think you can reserve up to 2 years in advance.
