It's really cold here too...we had to turn on the heater, and I had the dishwasher running, and the circuit breaker tripped. It was about 57, so we turned on the space heater and got it up to 67...
That's scary, you're in summer! Our lows get down to 38 or so at night and highs are 65 or so. It's REALLY cold by our standards. The fact that I'm thinking about using a real jacket means its cold. I only usually use them when I travel like to my parents or back when I was a Canadian specialist, when I had a job. Since I don't go to Canada anymore I've become a real wimp!
We have 90 degree wet here! I'm surprised you are so versed in Fahrenheit. I know that 8 celsius is butt cold and 39 is really hot, but not much inbetween. That's because where I was in Canada was usually a high of 8 and I had to explain LA temperatures to my Canadian cohorts so I know that 39 is around 100 to 110....
I used to know a whole heap of mathematical and chemical formulas....
The rough rule that I use is take the temperature in Celcius. Double it and add about 30 to get Farenheit.
I know the actual formula is 9/5*Celcius + 32 = Farenheit. But I can't be bothered working out what 9/5 of the celcius is and than adding 32. The rough rule is good enough for a quick conversion.

That doesn't work because 8 degrees C = 32 degrees F and it shoud be zero.
OK you're right...this is what I found online, so it has to be right!
Celsius to Fahrenheit (°C × 9/5) + 32 = °F
Fahrenheit to Celsius (°F - 32) x 5/9 = °C
