Yep :) My parents both left for the morning, so I hopped on their computer to do a couple things :) How are you?

Tired. About to shutdown and go to bed. Work day tomorrow and I am so looking forward to the end of the week. I'm planning on thinking/starting to pack on Thursday.....at least we would need to start bringing the suitcases down from the attic...:lmao:....mmmm..........DH......mmmmm......where was that prodder again?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

God, tell me about it. I'm pretty much all packed except for a few things like my hairbrush and blow dryer and things like that. I'm trying to decide if I want to pull something out of my suitcase or not, though. It's for my pirate costume, but I don't know if I want to pack them. I might just wear them on the plane (they're a pair of boots).

:hyper: Can't wait for Friday!

Doesn't POP have a hairdryer in the room?

And pardon the question....I've never stayed at a value....:confused3

It does, but the last time I used a hotel hair dryer was when I still had fairly short hair and that took 15 minutes to do. With this hair dryer, it takes about 10 minutes to do my whole head of hair, which is pretty long now. So I'd prefer bringing my own :)

I decided to just get it done. I work tonight and tomorrow and I have laundry and cleaning to do on Wednesday, so I'd like to relax and get to bed early on Thursday so that I can be up at 3am to get ready to go to the airport. I really only have a few more things to throw in the bag and they can all go in my carry-on, to be honest.

I have fine hair; it takes me about 20 seconds to dry it with a hair dryer. So I guess I've never had the problem of a hotel hair dryer not working for me. ;)

We are planning on changing sheets and cleaning on Thursday. I won't be bringing too many clothes. I'm thinking of 4 tops, 2 shorts, 2 dresses (Alison will be pleased that I've upped my dress allowance from 0 to 1; and now to 2 :thumbsup2) and layers for warmth. I suspect that it might get cool at night.
Need to include 1 hat, swimsuit, something to sleep in, maybe a tracksuit. Heaps of underwear and socks. I will also throw a long pants into the mix for San Francisco and haven't yet made up my mind about whether I take a pair of jeans or not.

I don't know what footwear - my trusty sketchers, sandals and probably my crocs.

I'm wearing jeans and a hoodie on the plane (it's supposed to be in the 40s here Friday morning), so that takes care of my layers, as I have no problem wearing jeans again as long as they don't have a spill on them. I have I think 8 or 9 shirts, two pairs of capris, and one skort. Then both of my costumes, a bunch of underthings, and an extra pair of gym shoes. I'll also be packing flip flops in my carry-on. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to wear boots or my New Balance on the plane, though. The boots zip up, so they come on and off easily, which would make getting through security simpler. I also have my swimsuit, a towel (because their towels don't wrap around me completely), and my toiletry bag, as well as my glow sticks. Those are going in checked baggage because I'm not sure if I can carry them on. In my carry-on is a shirt and some underwear, a couple of books, and some other things I don't remember at the moment. I'm also going to try and get my dad to stop at the bakery, since he's unaware of that plan and is now going to be the one driving me to the airport for some reason.

Don't worry about the bakery if it ends up being a bother for your dad. I appreciate the thought.

I'm wearing a semi-dressy tracksuit on the plane. For the long flight, I want to be comfortable and the one that I've got is something that I specially got for this purpose. And I'll be bringing a trench coat on board as well...which takes care of needing a warmer coat for San Francisco.

So, I just need to work out if I want to pop the jeans into the bag or whether I might be buying a new pair in San Francisco. It is a pretty good exchange rate....
So you can do the comparison and work out why I'm thinking of buying a new pair rather than bringing my perfectly good and functional jeans, Aussies get ripped off blind on clothes here. Calvin Klein jeans are $179.
A decent work suit of Banana Republic equivalence is about $600 - $900. I can get a wool suit at Banana Republic for around $250.

Before you have a heart attack, our basic wage is higher. Minimum wage is about $16 per hour. And we have universal medical care (doctors and hospitals).
And you can get cheaper non-name brand clothes. Still....jeans at Target are still about $70.

I don't make the world, I just live in it ;).

Time I was in bed. It's past 11.30 pm and I have to wake up early for work.

Take care....5 days!!

Sheesh... I knew there was a reason I tend to shop clearance sales! :lmao: The two pairs of jeans I just recently bought were 2 for $20 from Fashion Bug! They're a little loose, but I think they're all right :)

See you later!

The last pair of jeans I got were from Costco in SoCal. I think I paid $15...and they were Calvin's. I could have made a fortune in Oz....if only I could carry them back. Love the US outlets :lovestruc!

Off to bed I go.....
