So now DH tells me he'd like to join me and DS on our trip to WDW in November (after I've made all the ressies, etc.). I originally chose ASMo but DH says let's try Pop, it looks fun! I have a real issue with noise, specifically being able to hear every word that my neighbor(s) is saying. In terms of room noise, are we better off staying at ASMo or should we move to Pop?

Any and all advice is appreciated!:goodvibes

I've not heard any neighbors talking last year when I was at Pop. But then I only had to deal with one next door and one behind (I was at the end of the "hall"). Maybe some toilets flushing but that's the norm at ANY hotel you go to that has turbo toilets.

Pop gets my vote. More central to all resorts. Less waiting for shuttle buses and when they arrive they're not all ready full. We stayed at All Star and Pop. Pop from now on.

Even if it is a little more expensive per night. Food court is bigger. Never any issues with noise for us at either resort.

Just returned yesterday from 3 days @ POP & can definitely say you can't hear what's going on in the room next to you. Couldn't hear the turbo toilets from next door either unless I was actually in the bathroom at the same time. Only problem we had was that the room we had in the 60's (3rd floor) had people who were letting their young kids run up & down the halls screaming after 10pm, and they also must have put the latch out on the door so that it didn't close because it constantly slammed on it for about 1/2 hour. We were exhausted from a day @ 2 parks & just wanted to sleep but that was next to impossible. Also, we'd paid for a preferred room, but where we ended up definitely didn't seem preferred.

Food court, shopping, check-in & bus transportation are great. Hippy Dippy Pool was never crowded, no matter what time of day we walked by it.

All in all POP really is a great resort - room was clean, fresh & ready when we checked in.

Enjoy your trip!!

Id vote for the POP. That is our fave resort. Out of all the times we stayed there, we never had issues with hearing the neighbors and such. Once or twice we could hear a toliet flush, but that was only if we ourselves were in the bathroom and it was all quiet. But noise?...nope.

Thanks to all for your input, this is great to hear. We have switched to Pop. I requested top floor, lake view.

The door slamming, children running up and down the halls and turbo toilet noise occurs at the deluxes too. We experienced it all during our first stay at the Poly 5 years ago. We gave the resort another shot earlier this year and had a much better time.

Looking forward to our first stay at Pop!:goodvibes
