We are on our way. Departing from NW Indiana. The tom tom said 16 1/2 and Google nav said 19 1/2. Which one will be right:-). 1.5 hours into the trip. My wife is taking the first four hours. We were going to leave at midnight hut got a little over an hour jump on it. Four kids in the back of the mini van with 2 asleep. I reset the fuel economy before we left and we are averaging 26.2 MPG. Just passed a huge wind farm with hundreds of windmills. That was neat at night. Very very lite traffic and it is clear and 77 degrees. If you cannot tell I am excited and bored. I hope everybody has a great night.

Let me know if there is anybody else on the road ahead of us. I65 to I24 to I 75. I think.

Awesome, I'm from South Bend, grew up in Munster. It's not too bad of a drive, lots of stuff to see on the way! Have fun!

I have not driven down since I was a kid. Now we have kids and wanted them to experience the drive a least once. I remember all the see rock city and see ruby falls signs. Plus we used to count waffle houses. There were tons of them, I wonder if there still are those and Stuckeys, man I sure could go for a peacon log right about now-

I've never been to Stuckey's, but a Waffle House for sure...my Mom bought a See Rock City birdhouse on our trip in 1994, she still has it!
