Here now...

About once every 2 years I read a thread about the Xmas crowds and that is enough to keep me away. Crowd level is subjective. I am one who finds it crowded in September after a hurricane. We went right after Irma and crowds were about as low as they get. Still, without FPs and ADRs, we would have been stuck in lines. We are WDW veterans and AP holders and I just can't imagine being there when the crowds are as described above.
Thanks for all the posts. For now, "I'll be home for Christmas".

Wow we just got back after a week, and our group of seven all made the comment that people are so much nicer at Christmas time than in the summer when they are hot and sweaty. We only saw one rude man in seven days and thought everyone was super friendly and in a great mood. I sometimes wonder how you can have two totally different experiences at the same time at the same place!

I think it is a matter of expectations more so than actual crowd behavior. Sometimes people see what they want to see.

We go annually at some of the most crowded times and have never observed the kind of consistently awful behavior some posters mention. Not sure I have ever been run over by a scooter or attacked by a runaway stroller... Be there in 4 days and will report back, maybe the sky really is falling!
