Hasn't been a great day. My dd4 has anxiety disorder with sensory processing disorder. She is prone to major meltdowns and today was one after another! It was so frustrating and unpredictable. Went from giggles to screams off and on! She didn't want to leave the park though. It was so draining, I was in verge of tears so many times and did not enjoy myself but guess it is not about me! Sorry just needed to vent and have a poor me moment. I am over it - sort of!

I'm so sorry. A lot of us have been there, and can sympathize. I see you have other children, which makes it hard trying to balance everyone's needs/wants. I hope the rest of the trip goes better.

Thank you so much! It is hard to balance everyone my DD 7 is thrill junkie and it is my DS1 first trip.
After our afternoon my DH surprised us with MNSSHP last night because he heard we could see ETWB. I thought he was nuts after the day we had but off we went. It was amazing my DD4 who won't dance at recitals or parent viewings for picked to be the Beast! I almost de-volunteered her but realized either way was destined for a meltdown! Boy was I wrong, she was amazing not one issue. I felt like an idiot because I was crying watching her actual enjoy this activity it was worth every meltdown on this trip! I now remember why I love this place. I know how hard that was for her but she did it anyway and had a blast!
Thanks for your support! Wish I knew how to post pictures!

That is so wonderful! My kids have surprised me at the Disney parks too with the things they are suddenly able to tolerate or even enjoy. I am so happy that your DD got to experience that!

I think balancing the needs of a 1yr old, 4 yr old and a 7 yr old at WDW would be challenging even without adding ASD to the mix. As it is you really have your hands full. I hope your trip continues to go better!

Thanks! I have relaxed a bit and we are having a better trip!

Don't know how long you will be there or how many you have with you but we found with our family it is hard to please 4 people all the time.We split up for an afternoon. Older daughter and I went for Tea at Grand Floridian and younger one and Dad went to play video games. We do the same in the parks for an hour or two. Especially with anxiety disorder she may just need some one on one time in the middle of thousands of people.
