Here now - trying to add a park day

Reporting back: It worked exactly like folks said, thank you very much for the information.

We had purchased tickets from Undercover Tourist prior to price increase. We wanted to add another day because we had an extra day here due to changing flights from snow storm. We went to park, used them to enter park and then went to guest services and they were able to add extra days to the tickets. We ended up adding 2 days to a 4 day park-hopper and I think it cost $20 for both days per ticket.

Thanks again! Hope the info helps someone, it sure is better than the $100 the front desk wanted to charge me to add one day!

Glad it worked out for you!

I am cautiously suggesting that, when upgrading to annual pass, you first upgrade inside a park by doing something small like adding one day and, a day later, do the upgrade to AP.

This will reduce the amount of bridging seen by the CM doing the upgrade to AP, which some CMs get uptight about.

My favorite location is inside Epcot at Guest Relations.

Do the math, if it is more than you expect ask, but I wouldn't go asking about "bridging" off the bat. Don't forget to add tax.

Location is a crapshoot. Epcot GR inside the park wouldn't bridge for me last year...said it couldn't be done because I received "too big of a discount" on my ticket from UT. Walked outside Epcot, asked the CM working the ticketing window if he knew how to price bridge, he said yes, and happily added my extra day for $10+tax per ticket. Epcot GR wanted to charge us over $50/ticket!

Can someone help me with the math?? I'm wanting to add 1 day to a 7 day PH/Waterparks ticket. I bought it from UT before the price increase. About how much should it cost?

Thanks for the help!

There isn't any written acknowledgement from Disney that their ticket upgrade policy has changed... yet. Current policy as we know it, is to price-bridge a third party ticket to that day's full gate price value when doing a ticket upgrade, IF the ticket has been used at least once to enter one of the WDW parks. In that case, adding one day to your ticket would cost $10.00 + .65 tax.

If, as some are speculating, Disney will only give you full gate price based on the date on your ticket's bar code, and your ticket was from between June 2, 2013 and February 23, 2014, it has a value of $393. Subtract that figure from today's gate price for an 8-day PH/WPF&M ticket, $420, and the difference is $27.00 + tax = $28.75. Again, you will need to use your ticket at least once to enter a WDW park to get this price for your original ticket.

Thanks for the help everyone! We're here now and I tried to add the extra day at epcot's IG, but the sweet lady at the window didn't have a clue. Lines were too long all day yesterday at MK, so I tried Epcot IG again this morning. Asked the CM if he knew how to price bridge, he did! He asked where I bought the tix, said UT, he punched a few keys and $10.46 later, we were on our way!
