Here now! The Halloween decor is amazing! Crowds & heat...not so great

We got to the park at about 5 today! The entrance has the cutest Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy carved "pumpkins". The big pumpkin on Main Street is up, pumpkins are in all the windows, NBC Haunted Mansion is all decorated and quite cool looking (never seen it before), Ghost Galaxy has the creepiest sounds and lights coming from it. The Halloween Tree in Fronteirland is back and looks fab!
The crowds and heat, however, I can do without. . We're going to try and take a break tomorrow during the hottest part of the day. We plan on getting FP's for Ghost Galaxy & Haunted Mansion too.

I heard them trying the fireworks tonight at about 9:45!

we are in No Cal. Last week while we were THERE (DL) the heat was HERE ( San Jose) I'm not surprised it marched south. yuck

Here at DL also. Heat, not a bother for us. We come from Phoenix, it's always hot!! The crowds are more than I expected, but we haven't had to wait more than 20 minutes on rides. We are headed over now, to enjoy Halloween. DD-11 LOVES,LOVES, LOVES jack skellington. Hope it will be great. The park looks beautiful. Jack and Sally are to be out in front of Haunted Mansion signing autographs!!!

Fun in the HOT sun at DL !!!- do I have to go home Sunday? boo hoo. Been here a week, would stay a week more

Just heard from a Dis'er in the park that the standby que for Space Mountain this morning at 10:18 am was already at 75 minutes. Ouch!

ugh that is a long line! I do want to ride ghost galaxy but it looks like we'll be using FP and baby swap. I hope it is worth such a long wait! I think we're going to check out the halloween decor on tuesday or wednesday when it has cooled down a bit.

My friend is there too, she called me at 10:00 and told me 2 hours -- maybe she was rounding up?

Probably right... We are here now. No FP for space at rope drop- DH said it was a mob scene. They said come back in about 20 min, but they still hadn't turned them on(or they are broken). The line about 9:20 was an hour.

Over Jere at DCA we ride tsm with 10 minute waits 3x. Screamin is about 10 min. GET is down completely, and screamin FP machines are broken.

It is kind of hot but not too bad.

I think the pool and a cold beer are calling my name....

We will probably head back to dl before hotel so I'll let you know how it is over there!

Ohhh, pooh, I know you JUST got back. The HM was closed because of the overlay and it reopens TODAY!!!

You will do just that...come back a week LATER next year!!!

They even have a brand new Halloween attraction at Space Mtn = Ghost Galaxy!!!!!!

Ok, we're back in the room for a break!

We were there at rope drop, headed to SM only to find everyone else had the same idea. One side of he path is closed so it was quite the bottleneck. FP was down and standby was 50 mins. Went on HMH (LOVED it!) and went back to get a FP for SM. Return time: 8:45!

Ride lines haven't been too bad- there just seems to be lots of bodies moving around.

Had lunch at WWS- still yummy! Can't wait to try some candy corn cookies, pumpkin fudge, and gingerbread Mickeys (with chocolate ears!).

They seem to have added a few more decorations since last night. It looks so cute- they did a great job.

You know, wait times haven't been that bad (with the exception of SM, HMH and Splash). It just seems to be a lot of people walking around. I think they should be out of FP's for SM. We got ours at noon with a return of 8:45 so...

The Edelweisse (sp?) Cottage wasn't open yet this morning, there were a few guys still working on it. By the way...where can you buy Tinkerbell Twists?
