Got here Saturday. It is Packed! CMs are even commenting on how it had been slow until this week and then it got crazy. Poly and gf booked solid. O
OKW, where I am, is almost filled to capacity. Although we came 3 weeks later than last year to try to beat the heat, it's actually much worse. The humidity is brutal!!!! Went to ohana's for breakfast and garden grill for dinner. Both were AWESOME! The character interaction at garden grill is the best we have ever had-they even had our DS sitting in their lap!!!! And the food was great too!

Today is MK and Chefs de France for dinner. I'll let you know if we see Remy. Any questions?

Let us know how Chefs de France is! I'm on the fence for that one. Have a great vacation!

We're here too. Been here for a week.
I think the crowds picked up for the F&WF.
Before that the crowds were low.
The heat with that hunidity is terrible!! We won't be coming in Sept. again. We just aren't used to it.
Saw our first love bugs yesterday. They were hanging out at AK by the buses.

No questions, but thanks for the information! Sorry to hear about the humidity; it just makes you feel drained, doesn't it? It was good to hear something positive about Garden Grill. Can't wait to hear about Chefs!

Yeah sat/sun F&WF can make things look brutal. Opening weekend especially making it rough. Rest of the week should be easier. My parents just got there yesterday and of course went straight to Epcot for the fest as well. It should be a good week in general really.

This type of thread is a better fit on the trip report board, so I'm going to move this over there now.

thanks for the report. we are going to garden grill for the first time in about 2 weeks so glad to read you liked it. going to chefs for the first time, too. have a magical trip!

Just got back from MK. We got there about 9:45am. I was worried because the bag checking line was huge!!! Then got inside; and honestly, it's the busiest I've ever seen it for this time of year. But the good news is that, for the most part, things still moved quickly. In 3 hours, we did magic carpets, pirates of the Caribbean, country bear show, haunted mansion, philharmagic, ate lunch, and saw the celebration parade. Then it was time for DS nap. Now, fantasyland rides were approximately 40 minutes as was jungle cruise so we opted out of those for today. Also, Florida is having a heat wave. They are expecting to break the 1983 record of 93 degrees today!

Just got back from Epcot. Ate at Chefs de France. Food was excellent (try the duck and crepe!) and Remy is still there and amazing! Cooled down tonight and was a lot of fun.

We went to the Halloween Party last night - what a blast!!! We dressed up DS 19 months as a skeleton/zombie/pirate complete with face makeup we did and he was a huge success! There were people who even wanted to take their picture with him. Yes, it was busy; however, as usual, rides were walk on to five minutes at most and the candy hand out was generous. We had dinner at Crystal Palace; and although we weren't seated until a 1/2 hour after our time, we were able to eat and see all of the characters in under an hour. We rode tons of rides, DS LOVED the tomorrowland dance party so much we had to go back twice (boy can he boogie!), Mama staked out a spot for the parade across from the Hall of Presidents near the christmas store (totally recommend that spot), while Papa and DS had boy time trick or treating, visited toontown and some characters, saw the fireworks (DS kept saying "uhoh!" each time it went off), and just enjoyed being together. DH and I have gone to the halloween party for years and have enjoyed it immensely, it's just so different and unbelievably amazing when we got to share it with DS. One thing I wish we had done but couldn't justify the hour + wait time- between fantasyland and toontown (across from the speedway), Snow White was doing pictures WITH ALL SEVEN DWARVES!!! Boy would I have loved that photo but we didn't want to miss all the other things and I didn't think DS would put up with that. Congrats to the families that got that great picture.

Now today is DHS day. Sci Fi tonight; and because DS loves dance parties so much, we're doing the Playhouse disney dance party!
