Here now... Need SDPF help!

we are here now and we went to a kiosk to make SDFPs. It allowed me to make them for the whole party, but will not allow me to modify. When we came last time, my son was 2....so no ticket. When I try to modify on MDE, it says my son needs a ticket??? So it allowed us to make a SDFP for him at the kiosk, but I cannot modify. Anyone know if there is a way around this? Thanks in advance

If the system is showing he is 3, yes you may need a ticket for him. If he is 2, you don't need a fp or ticket. If you're just saying he is 2, then don't make either a fp or ticket.

I've had the problem where it doesn't think my son is the person I think he is because it asks for the age of the child WHEN TRAVELLING when you book, but then it won't let me say it's him because he shows as younger (because he will have another birthday before we go).

I was able to simply lie about his age (say he'll be 7 when traveling when he'll really turn 8 before we go) but obviously it won't work for you since the 2/3 age difference is different ticket needs.

I'm not really clear on what you're saying though. Is your son 2 or 3? Does he have a ticket? Did he turn 3 during the trip (if so, one doesn't age at disney so heh wouldn't need a ticket, though MDE might not know that - still, you could change his bday to show that he's still 2 if that's the case).

I'd ask a CM at the kiosk.

Change his age to 3 in the MDE account if it isn't already, but I'm confused as to how he has a FP if it's saying he needs a ticket???

OP here - he is now 4 YO. We are using old bands for same day FP. So not linked to our current tickets or MDE. For our last trip he was 2, so he did not have a ticket linked. Cannot change his age in MDE the system will not allow it. So we were able to get the SDFP at the kiosk, but cannot modify his times it experience via the MDE app.

Why are you not using your linked tickets/bands for your additional FPs? I guess I'm also confused.

I had the hardest time changing my girls ages from 2 to 3. It was like they were stuck on 2 in MDE. Which would have been nice, but my conscience wouldn't let me abuse the system and pretend they were still 2. Sigh...

2 phone calls finally fixed it before our trip in 2014, now it is correctly displayed.
