So far 3 out of 4 of the attractions we have rushed to at to drop have been broken. First afternoon ( only non rope drop day) Spaceship Earth around 5:30 was not operational. Didn't really effect our plans but the next morning was AK at rope drop......EE down for awhile. Don't know exactly how long but at least an hour. MK was ok for us on Monday, then Tuesday at HS, not good.........rush to Toy Story, down, headed to Muppets 3D watched the whole preshow, then it broke down. Don't know what is going on, but it is kind of frustrating. There have also been some minor break downs while on the rides, but nothing as impactful ( is that a word?), as a headliner being down at park opening.

I think you're just having a run of bad luck. I would not infer any grand conclusions from your experience.

Hope things turn around for you! :goodvibes

Sorry you're off to a rocky start. We got to rope drop really early on our last trip and were very disappointed to find TSMM down. The CMs tried hard to disperse the are by saying they had no idea when it would be back up. It was so hard to decide whether to stay or go (we were about 10th in line) but stuck it out and it was open within about half an hour. It can really hamper plans for that golden first hour.

I hope things get better for you!

Last week while we were at TSMM, the car right behind us didn't turn properly (facing perpendicular to the shooting scenes everything time). When we arrive the exit, technicians arrive immediately to check out that car. I believe TSMM would be down for a bit for that particular car not working, or at least need to remove it to re-start the run. They act fast trying to fix things.

I am sorry that you encountered so many rides down. But I think they are really working hard to get things back up asap. I hope the rest of your trip to be smooth and fun!!

OP here and guess what? Rope drop at Epcot right now and ran to TT. In line about to start the design you vehicle and ride down. Stuck in line now. Not cool Disney, 4 out of 5 headliners down at park opening.

I am sorry to hear today is not any better.

I think most people can take an occasional shutdown in stride but I know I would not be feeling the magic if this had happened so much to me. Run of bad luck, yes, but still no fun especially when I am sure you are thinking there's no way it can happen again ... and then it does.

Thanks for checking in and hope your day gets better.

We were also there last week and this happened at the end. They did the "hold time", which we've experienced several times, and I have no problems with that (in fact, TSMM is usually the best ride to get "hold time" on!). But once they had us going again, the timing was off for that last scene and we didn't turn properly to see our final score. I think TSMM has a similar problem like EE. It needs to be taken down for a long refurb but there's nothing else to replace it.

Really sorry that you are having to deal with this. We will be there in about 2 months and I can tell you that while broken down rides wouldn't cause me to have a "horrible" experience, I would be pretty crushed if Spaceship Earth was not operational. That is my favorite of all time and the first one I ride that morning and the last one I ride at night. Hope things turn around for you soon. Try to enjoy all the other great things WDW has to offer!pixiedust:

I was at Blizzard Beach on Sunday for its first day open after its 3 month "refurbishment".

The Downhill Double-Dippper was down several times during the day because one of the lights wouldn't turn green to allow the cast member to launch the riders. We got stuck in line for about 15 minutes while they "fixed" it. Right as we gave up and started to exit, someone yelled "It's fixed". So we stayed in line since we were on the stairs headed up to the loading platform. By the time we got up there, it broke again. We waited another 10 minutes for them to fix it that time. During this entire time, the 2 cast members working the slide made no announcements to those waiting in line to inform them of technical difficulties.

We headed to the Ski Patrol tween area for my kids. The raft slide there was down for about 45 minutes. When a maintenance guy finally appeared (probably trying to fix some other slide), he appeared to be working on the pumps.

A little while later, the zip line in the Ski Patrol area was broken in some way. There was a maintenance guy working on that, and it was down for awhile.

On the ski lift to the top of the mountain, about 1/3 of the seats had yellow flags strung across them indicating they were not functional. This made the line quite long. What made it longer was the ski lift kept breaking down all day. There were multiple maintenance workers huddled around it all day to try to get it working. It would be going for 15 minutes and then stop for 30 minutes while they fiddled with it. Then it would open for a little bit, only to break again.

It is pretty clear that very little actual refurbishment took place during the 3 month "refurbishment". It looks like they just turned everything off for 3 months and then fired it up that morning without any testing.

There have also been some minor break downs while on the rides, but nothing as impactful ( is that a word?),

Most of the time when a ride stops for a short period of time while you are on it is because the ride has been stopped for someone in a wheelchair to transfer onto the ride.

OP just checking in. My trip is not at all ruined from all this bad luck, but only because we visit so often and really enjoy the minor attractions. I would be really upset if it was a once in lifetime trip and feel bad for anyone here now in that situation.

hey OP please don't ever come to 'Disney when i am there 00- you are bad luck!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::joker::joker:
