Here now - just saw Illuminations ????

For those who liked the country introductions from IllumiNations 25, you'd have loved the country spotlights the original show had. Set to a bit of music appropriate to that country, each pavillion would light up in an elaborate sequence, often accented by a little extra thing, such as a maple leaf in Canada, Big Ben in the United Kingdom, and a cuckoo clock in Germany.

Yep. That was really great.

The last several years I have noticed cutbacks in all WDW fireworks. Illuminations has gotten to the point where I thought I was looking at two Cast Members standing on the barge waiving sparklers.

Hallowishes... Don't get me started.

Heading back to Epcot tonight ... lets see if the Friday version of Illuminations will be better ???

It's also EMH tonight so I'm also looking to see if the show is any better than
Wednesday.

By far, the funniest post I've read in a long time !
[just wish it wasn't so true]

Actually MG, I think due to cutbacks it was one CM holding two sparklers. And I agree I was mighty disappointed last December at the obvious cutbacks in the Christmas decorations.

I am afraid that many companies are making cutbacks under the guise of "it's the economy" and truly are just making even more money. :sad2:

I miss that as well. I'm not a huge fireworks person, but the schmaltzy "introduce the countries in Epcot" thing was great - with each country lighting up in turn.

I also LOVED the Epcot Tapestry of Dreams parade.

I agree with the Tapestry of Dreams parade. Love the music.
