Here Now...Having a Great Time with MDE & FP+

I have been here since Thursday morning and am having another great experience with both MDE and FP+. My MB has worked every time with both entering the parks and using it for pre-selected attractions. I have also found switching times and experiences around on FP+ easy. When talking to other guests (or overhearing their discussions), the response appears to be much more positive than when I visited in December; most have commented on the convenience of reserving attractions either the morning of or in advance. In fact, I actually just changed my plans for tomorrow (Sunday) and had no issues getting access to the headliners.

The MDE app was recently updated, so I am impressed that it's not experiencing glitches. I use an iPhone, which from what I heard, tends to have the least amount of problems. I'm not sure if that is just hearsay or not, but thought I'd share that information for those interested.

The only negative aspect of the new update is cancelling FP+s. When it originally came out, you had to cancel all three of your choices (and couldn't cancel just one). That later changed, and then you could select just one to cancel. Unfortunately, now it is back again to all three being required. I've worked around that by changing my experiences instead of canceling one I no longer wanted.

All in all, I've had nothing but positive experiences using FP+. I know that others have not, but I wanted to share how things are working for me right now.

Thanks Nikki glad to hear your having a great time with MDE and FP+. I'm hoping to get down there this summer to test it all out I'm actually really excited to test it for myself. I keep seeing people. Saying oh I'm done no more disney because of this but I think it will end up being fine.

Thanks for a positive report...hope the rest of your visit goes just as well!

We had a great time with it last weekend (there 2/8 - 2/12) and also had no trouble changing times on headliners (even getting a change within 20 minutes...had Little Mermaid for 3:30-4:30 one day, and at 2:10 PM I was able to change those 4 FP+ reservations to 2:30-3:30.)

But our good time was on some extremely slow days in the parks. It is so good to hear that MDE/FP+ is working well during a busy holiday weekend.:thumbsup2

I didn't notice much of a difference to be honest; I only visit during peak season, so keep this in mind.

Over the weekend, park attendance went up especially on Sunday and Monday due to the holiday. I noticed that the FP+ lines were a little backed up in AK. Everywhere else wasn't an issue which tells me that the algorithm for that park might have been off for whatever reason. To combat this, I simply went on the MDE app, changed my FP+ time, and went back later.

All in all, it was another great experience with the system. It's not perfect (park hopping is needed), but has been noting but great in my opinion.
 
Super Duper!! We also like them more each time! That's what I think is so great about this technology, it will evolve more and more. On the way on Thursday for Royal 5K, can't wait! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for the update. It's nice to see some positivity around here - and nice to see that it is possible that FP+ won't completely ruin your trip.

I'm glad to hear that you've had no issues with amending times/experiences on the day, that bodes well I think (both for on and off site visitors).
